I know we are not due to discuss this book quite a while, but I already finished it. I L O V E D it!!! It's the best book I've read in months. I wish we could start the discussion today.

There are books you read only in spare time. And there are those you read straight through. But you know a book is good, when you catch yourself reading it straight through, and then you force yourself to pause because you don't want to finish it too soon because it's so enjoyable. But then you say what the heck and finish it anyway, and then your upset that you read it so fast and now its over.

Read it a year ago and it is indeed a very good book.

I agree. I read it about 6 months ago & loved it.I felt that I learned a lot about Jamaica from this book. It really shows where the motto "Out of many , one people" came from.

As soon as I get it back from the person that I lent it to I'll read it again for the discussion on the board.

You guys are doing a great job. It will be great to chat with some of these very talented authors.

The discussion is set to begin on June 3rd. I contacted the author and she replied that she would be happy to participate, so hopefully it will work out as well as the discussion of Greenwichtown. **fingers crossed**

Very good book. I'm only half way through so I'm glad the date is set for June 3rd, I thought it was scheduled to start sooner. The author will participate? That's great. It would be nice if we can have it this way each month.

Judging from the last discussion, I think someone, anyone, can start a new topic or come into this one and just start talking about the book. Then others join in, at some point the author, at which time people, if they choose can direct questions directly to the author.
