Re: Crosses and their symbolism
Maybe you eat, maybe you don't
And I see 1 cross. The parson of our church was an obeahman before he got converted. Never mind that make his church have a huge congregation and never mind that the former Prime Minister used to call on him for consultation. So what did he do? All the stories and hymns we sang, did he take the church song to his obeah or when he got converted, did he bring the obeah in the church?
You counted 16 crosses. I counted 1. There are many other symbols there which you apparently do not know. They might cross but I do not see them as crosses. Their main meanings are not crosses, but something else, albeit everything which is crossing a path is sacred.
If my right hand is crossing my left hand does that make it a cross? Or is my right hand still my right hand and my left hand my left hand and they are just crossed?

maybe it didn't. and maybe it did.
I count 16 crosses in that veve. 6 on the vertical axis, 8 on the horizontal axis, plus the two larger crosses formed by the combination of axes and the penetration of the sword on the right side of the horizontal axis.
there are probably more that I haven't counted.[/qb]
