It is equally worth noting that there are some folks throughout the world who have educated themselves and in turn feel compelled to show their respect and recognition of the words and wisdom of Jah Ras Tafari.

I do agree that there are many who really haven't a clue.

I am glad to finally see that there is someone who agrees with me on this. I have been to England about four times and I have to say that I didn't really notice too many Jafakans over there. It seems that there is a dividing line that goes by age. The older U.K born Jamaicans are the only ones that follow Jamaican culture. The younger ones don't follow it. I have never lived there so I guess that you probably know how things are more than I do. It would be a wonderful world if all people of Jamican background would act like they are supposed to act and stop following foreign culture so much.

Poss88 (sorry about the quote without reply and now the reply without the quote--guess I hit the wrong button...): I agree, the world would be better if we all followed our own culture, its ideals and recognized its own virtues and beauty. But the fact remains, quite sadly, that American culture seems pervasive and behaves much like a virus: insidiously inserting itself into all the known cultures of the world. In this context, I sometimes find it refreshing to see american youth adopting styles, etc. from other cultures, e.g., wearing dread. I only wish they would learn about the style they're adopting before they adopt it. If they would do that, then they would be adopting a style out of respect, not rebellion (or whatever). Yes, I believe flattery is a form of respect.
