I've learned to pick up on the non-verbal messages. Like when my husband unexpectanly fills my gas tank or washes my car. Sometimes he even cues a song I like so that is playing when I get in my car. Yesterday he brought lunch to my office for me. These little things say love and committment loud and clear. It took me a while to realize that by doing these little things he was telling me he cared about me. I've learned to cherish each of these caring gestures.
