Re: Socialization - Outside the Christian realm
Just thought I'd throw out here that most people I know who home-school (Christians who do not want their children in "godless public schools" as opposed to those more hippie-types who want time with their kids or whatever) do so in the context of an association of some sort.
So not only do the kids attend church and Sunday School and socialize there, they also regularly get together with other like-minded families for field trips, art classes, etc.
However, most of the kids I know that are home-schooled never enter public schools at all, they home-school right to college, if they go.
