Re: What is the Church doing to prevent AIDS in Jamaica.
Sex tourism as a matter of raw- explicit -wild promiscious behaviour is destroying the fabric of the community....the nude beaches, nude weddings, nude musical festivals, nude lodging facilities and all out vacation packages being offered to foreigners to come have a feel good time in Jamaica transmittingh Aids to our people, need to be address by the churches in Jamaica.
They have clout and were protesting against the, fleash pot carnival and nude weddings at the beginning, but soon quit as the events were staged. Where is the sustained campaign to protect the interest of the flock and the stability of the community. A mean, I am sure these churches are more persistent when they trying to fill the assembly seats.
Infact, during slavery in Jamaica the churches did fight for our freedom as a matter of human independence and it pains mee to see them sit and watch the community disappear into revelry, orgies and licentious behaviour.
The church have a responsibility to intervene in the nation, they are a spiritual institution and not political but the social mission of building up the community should mandate them to start rallying against sex- tourism as it is very much apart of the rise in AIDS cases across the north coast and all Jamaica. We are all in this and will be affected by this plague the longer it goes on.
