Queen, Don't know if you're joking (I'm not sure because of the [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] ), but I seriously miss Aimee and found his views the closest to my own as acquired through various readings. There is a more "academically respectable" version of similar thoughts set forth in the book The Chalice and the Blade. Maybe people would have been more receptive to him if he had written in a more academic style? But I have had email correspondence with a number of ppl. from Africa, and a lot of them write English in a similar style to Aimee.

I think Aimee posts lost a LOT in translation...I tried so hard to read them....then my head would start hurting because I couldn't make heads or tails out of anything.

what about the counting thread...and de nuts on here couldn't keep the numbers in order...we had about 50 people saying they were number 20...this was iggling in the truest sense of the word. LOL

how did this turn into a memory thread?

I love him too. I loved reading the 900 paragraphs in his posts to seek out the one hidden gem of a malapropism. It was so much fun to speculate on whether he put them there on purpose to get people to read the entire post, or they were innocent mistakes. My favorite was when he listed the duties of yard boys, and said one of them was "to give blow jobs." I spent an entire weekend breaking into laughter over that one.

you know that was my all time favorite by Mutty...he went on and on about how he was going to end it all...everybody was trying to encourage him and talk him out of it...then he comes back with...that's it...I'm going to jump off the curb and end it all...waaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiii

what about our weekly Bob Marley tunes....we had some really good party threads too...red light in the basement type of parties.

what about when we got too out of hand...Marcia would come in and simply *raise yeyebrows*...and we would calm down instantly.

and the boardie weddings...

I think the post I will never forget was when Tropicana said she was gonna commit suicide, (she even posted a "suicide" letter) to my knowledge she got vex with another boardie talkin to her "board man"-does anyone remember who was involved in that "love triangle"?

yep, blu, those bar posts were really fun. ppl would paste in pictures of their favorite drinks and everything.

i remember teaoom, queenb, marilyn, longroadbwoy, amandaATL, brukbak, neutral, jaindian, tropicana(and her twin sister),pepper(and her private secretary [img]/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img] ), ms portmore, kingy, pinky, boundbrook, sistacaf, igglesfan and lexusgal from when i first came on here. my favorite posts were the "baby fadda" trials and the stories of when ppl first left ja. i used to [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img] so hard. i miss those days.
