Absolutely! If a person does not believe there is a God, why bother spend a considerable amount of time trying to prove what cannot be proven? Unless one professes to be all-knowing, they can never say with 100% certainty that God does not exist. [/qb]

....and if they cannot prove 100% that God does not exist then they cannot prove 100% that the Bible is not real so all the effort to rip it apart is a total waste of time? No need to answer.

What exactly do you mean by 'the Bible is not real?' Like it doesn't exist or the contents are not all true or makes logical sense? If it's the former we know Bibles do exist. If it's the latter, YES it can be proven some of its contents are questionable.

However I would argue that science not only push the boundaries of mans abilities but also to realise them.

I would also argue that science also has a duty to settle the age old delima of proving scientifically once and for all that there is a god or a creator who started the whole process. The search for that is in studying the origins of earth and sending probes in outer space to undertand the elements and structures of far and distant planets as well as the sun, moons and stars.

If science can peel back the skin of time right back to the beginning of how the world was created and who or what created the cosmos/universe then man and science would ultimately locate god/creator and discover how it all began and for what reason!!
