Okay so you don't mind that they are sent home then.
Do you think that they are the cause of the high crime rate?

Heck yesssss, I think that they should be sent home because them misbehave dem selves..

Yes, I seriously do think that they have *contributed* to the high crime rate that is presently in jamaica.

Now member seh, long ago, when we did der that the shooting did inna Spanish town road area...u hear it a Staths- remember. Me used to have classes with Ms Webhy, (Spanish teacher) and hear it loud, loud inna de back a de bushes deh... Dem deh area did braps by Trench town, and war and gunfire did always bruk out down deh....
In fact, me fadda did work fe Trench town policestation, and a all sorta sinting me hear bout rioting and shootups......
My father was on duty almost 24/7 with the amount of unrest what was der in those times.
that was de norm den..
And noh act like seh u noh member!

so violence did a tek over inna those days...but me tink, that with the extradiction of the *returnees*, that the conditions have possibly worsed. You noh see all Spanish town (the area)...(the area whe whole heap a Staths pickney did come from) it has gotten worse....

Dem deh area never did neverbad soh..
Me used to visit me friend down deh and walk free.. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] Nuff government house did a build up deh.. Me aunty dem did down deh..people never lock dem doors a nite time....
Now all the country places dem a get bad..
When me goh home, and stay a St Ann, dats all dem talk bout - de deportees and the escalating crime rate. a de talk of the town dis ma..u tan deh..

If u ask the jamaican people if their level of comfort/feeling of safety has changed in terms of crime since the massive deportation started , u would possibly be surprised to hear it, first hand, the outcry that it has...

How did persons deported to Jamaica offend you/Jamaica?
I am happy that we don't have to depend on a barbaric book such as the bible for tips on how to deal with legal and social issues in Jamaica.... err sorry let's scratch that maybe we do and that is why we have such a bloody country.

just a footnote..
Inna graduate school, me member we had to do a thesis on any subject u wished..
I remember having to do surveys, statistical studies and all the sa-bangle that went with it..
I'll never forget a couple of girls, who told me after they got A's on their thesis that their surveys were falsied, cus they worked full time, and didnt have the time to go do field surveys like they said on the thesis class Part I

(It took us a year to complete, and we had two classes Part I and Part II)

Sorry but I never did have much confidence in these things..
Whether its these girls, or the US government, or the jamaican gov, or a particular group..
People falsify information all the time to justify *their* means.....
Case in point, the two surveys that u give me to read, validating *them* as the bible..
(Each saying that its not their fault and providing so called evidence...)
(Ex. The US gov saying one man did this, and in true fact the man is innocent, but of course, dem have *evidence* to prove otherwise)...
all me can seh is ..

Dem is being returned to the right place - the land of dem birth, me is fine with the punishment

As long as dem noh stay ya and get to continue with them conducts that got dem deported..
Living high off the hog while the likkle man have fe goh out deh and work fe a honest day's pay...falling down inna snow, sleet and rain fe mek ends meet, the right way..

Supporting fe dem children , while at the same time *killing off someone else's*....

If they were to actually, tek a step back and *think, think* to demselves the impact that they are creating (however small and insignificant they may think it is) on society as a whole, maybe they would realize that this little action creates a domino effect to some other little man down the street other dan themselves....
Its not all about dem and *their* loved ones, its about others too..
