QK, this experience will teach you so much about the people who love you and care for you. It will make you reflect on those who had similar experiences and make you laugh at the pithy maxims you shared during their loss. QK so sorry to hear of your loss. I feel your pain, as someone has been through the same thing. I lost my dad this same time last year, and the thing is he died in Florida while I was enroute to see him. I never did get a chance to say goodbye to him. (Just thought I'd sare this with you), so you see that you are not alone, so bear up, and my prayers are with you and your family.

Know this, some of us truly understand the emotional roller coaster you are going through. You try to be strong but the memories come flodding in and you lose it. Can't tell yuh that in time it will get better, just know that it is normal and each person is different and they handle things in different ways. Some go silent and some are expressive. The one thing you can, and SHOULD hold to, is the good memories of your Dad to carry with you for the rest of your life.
