When did you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour?

I was 12 years old when I prayed the prayer of salvation the first time.

Where are you today in your walk?

Today my walk is the most exciting, pure, genuine, steadfast, and at times most difficult, as it has ever been in my life. I am involved on many different levels and yet I know that God has not tapped into all that He purposed for me…so I continue to PRESS daily but it is so exciting to see what is next and how God is going to reveal the next step.

Tell us about your church experiences. Did you grow up in the church?

I did grow up in the same church I am in right now. I would describe my church congregation experience as boring. The excitement for my church peers and I came when we visited other churches. Baptist, Pentecostal and COGIC congregations. Their youth was always soooo on fire for God and we wanted some of that. Our AME church was what we termed DEAD. I was involved in every youth activity because my mom was the director of everything so we spent most of our time at somebody’s church. I always wanted more and didn’t like our church very much.

I was 18 when I moved out and got my first apartment. I thought for sure I would go to a LIVE church or just sleep in every Sunday but the very first Sunday in my own apartment I woke up on time and I was at my church and have never left since. I surprised myself even but God planted me there for a reason and one of those reasons came to pass not too long ago so I thank God for the lessons He has shown me. He said Allen AME is the building but I AM the church..the church lives in me.

Are you involved with any ministries? If so, please share.

I have been involved in the the Prophetic Ministry since the beginning of 2005 so I am a student in a three year correspondence school called Ramah which is out of Pheonix. That ministry falls under the covering of a non-denominational church in Glendale, AZ.

I’m involved in a national prayer ministry as exec director, here in the Northwest and prayerfully we will join with another national prayer ministry out of Pheonix. God is now revealing, and I am beginning to move in the area of Deliverance and Healing. The team out of Arizona is awesome. I have learned sooo much from them. I love them bad bad! It is exciting stuff man!

The other ministries are inside of my church as Praise and Worship Director, Young Peoples Department director and youth choir advisor. It seems I took on the same role as my mom because I am over everything my children are in at church. kikiki [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img]

What would you say has been the most positive thing about being a Christian?

Ahhh the peace. the peace in really knowing who I am in Christ. I didn’t always know and there is NOTHING that compares to the love of God and walking with Him day by day. And the joy is pretty neat too [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Would you recommend a relationship with Christ to non-believers? Why?

I recommend a relationship with Christ for non-believers AND believers..you see I was a believer from age 12 but even as a believer I was not walking in Christ..oh lawd, don’t get me to preachin.. I was living and dwelling in sin..just livin..kickin it having a great time..not hurtin nobody but just livin raggedy. I still got to church on time though. I involved myself in unclean living which includes all of it (smoking, drinking, recreational drugs, sexual sin) alla it!

Sin is pleasurable and anyone who is honest and truthful will vouch for it. But I wanted more and even before I asked for more, God called me. It was THROUGH that relationship that He took me through the crushing process of 3 years which anyone in the ministry knows happens.. He stripped me of everything I thought I needed and everything I had inside of me. He purged me, cleaned me from the inside out and as He revealed His secrets to me, showed me my destiny, He forgave me and loved me in a way that is impossible in the natural. Through it I came out changed and it wasn’t even me who did it. It was God and God alone.

Jesus is the only way and I just wished I hadn’t been distracted for 10 years before I heard Him calling me.

Do you have spiritual mentors?

Oh yes, God has placed me under STRONG mentorship. Three spiritual mothers, Apostle J and Prophet C out of Arizona and Evangelist N who has watched over me for several years now.

Is there a special calling on your life? If so and you so desire, please discuss.

Yes, prophetic ministry. I rely on God for His timing and although I believe I am called to preach and teach prophetically, I have not been released in the local church yet. Don’t really know where God will place me when He gets ready.

What are your Scripture reading habits?

Well I read daily. I have a reading list for book reports that is endless and so if I am in a book I follow where the book tells me. Otherwise I read daily for a devotional or to study a bible study lesson or Sunday school lesson..so I am all over really.

How would you describe your prayer life? How often do you pray? Do you seek God’s direction in all aspects of your life?

My prayer life is constant. As an intercessor I must pray constantly. If I get a call because someone needs a prayer, I stop what I am doing and pray.. Ain’t it great that we can get a text message and pray? I love it! So for me prayer is a constant conversation with my Father. I do seek God in all aspects of my life.

Would you share a story about someone you've brought to Christ, if so?

Um..I didn’t know them but 4 came to Christ this last Mother’s Day when I preached my first sermon. GO GOD!!

Do you have an accountability partner?

Well after me, is probably Evangelist N.

What is your favourite book and why?

To date it is probably The Purpose Driven Life. So much was exposed for me in that book..lots of lightbulb moments.

Do you listen to secular music? If so, what type?

Yes I listen to whatever my children and the youth at church are listening to. o/ gotta meet them where they are ya know?

Do you have a favourite gospel artist? If so, who and why?

Fred Hammond hands down..oh and Judith Mcallister..I love their spirit and they sing from the Word

We are all faced with struggles and obstacles, what would you say have been your greatest struggles and how did you overcome?

My greatest struggle was coming to terms with the fact that God had been speaking to me for years and I didn’t know it. I felt like I handled His word of revelation and instruction incorrectly. My church did not properly equip the prophetic or others in the use of their spiritual gifts. Coming to grips with what I deemed my mistakes because of this, was a struggle because the enemy came at me with heavy condemnation..I still deal with that today but it is getting easier.

What do you feel are your areas for greatest spiritual and personal growth?

Spiritual Growth- endless. There are many areas I don’t even know about yet but God has revealed He will release me so..this is endless.

Personal Growth- Allowing people outside my circle in. I am an extreme introvert and this is a challenge for me. The balance is a struggle.

Are you allowing the Word of God to change your life or do you attempt to change the Word of God?

I have definitely allowed God’s Word to penetrate my life in all areas. It is evident to those who know me..it is not because of anything I am or that I did..it was all God. His Word changed me.

Should an unsaved loved on try to convince you that you've made the wrong decision in following Christ, how would you react?

I wouldn’t react. I would pray for them and keep stepping. I don’t compromise for anyone. I have lost many loved ones and friends because of this stance but.. no compromise. Not even for family.

funny u should mention Judith as i *just* earlier this week) picked up one of her CDs. she hadn't be recommended or anything but i just found myself buying it - Send Judah First. Yu have dat one or the other or both? which yu prefer?

I have the DVD and CD of Raise the Praise. OMG the DVD is awesome. I like to see them when they sing.. My friend recently introduced me to her music since they call her the queen of praise and worship or sintin like dat. WATCHING her is what really took me over..she is great!
