Let's see....I learnt that
In St Kitts
grata cake is called suga cake
fry dumplin is called Johnny cake(I think my mom used to refer to johnny cake too. I guess 'ole time Jamaicans say johnny cake-I guess

seasoned rice is called cook up[Even though there is a difference in the meat that is used. Ja'cans use saltfish and they use chicken meat]
In St Thomas:
turn cawnmeal is called foonjee(or something like that [img]/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] )
So come, share your cuisine experiences-especially those who have travelled to other islands and have noted the cultural differences/similarities.. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Wouldn't mind learning something new here..
