Why?
To usurp the riches beneath Haiti that is kept a big secret to the world and even from the ppl of Haiti.
The reason the US got rid of Aristide cause he started to let the ppl know about the oil and other riches in the country, but akerikkka already claimed the oil and other resources as strategic reserves and had the oil capped for future use.

They want to bleed out everyone else's resources first.
The US has shown their hatred of the Haitian ppl many times, look how when dem arrive in miami offa some raft how dem treat dem. Because Haiti never bowed down they must pay.

dwl, ppl really tink dat all dem UN ppl were in Haiti as peac keepers. Bill Clinton who is de US envoy to Haiti had them there to protect the oil from the ppl.

as much as they want cheap oil &amp; with the rotten economy, the powerful businessmen want their profits now, most have short attention spans.
(cant keep white house crashers out, nigerian underpants terrorist coming in but they can pull this off)

vehicle gas is only one of thousands of oil products, furthermore the industry isnt monolithic with everyone on the same page, &amp; also many others are researching alternate technologies.
China is expanding &amp; investing heavily in this region, they want oil now for their economy, the US has declined and is heavliy indebted to them

so hypotheticaly, lets say the Oil companies are aware of the same plate interaction between the North American Plate and Carribbean plate along the fault under the Atlantic and are using harp to shift the plates in order to easier access oil.
And we know the political situation between Venezuela and The US and Chavez. And a plus Haiti logisitically is closer to North America and doesnt have a dictator like Chavez who like a Matador taunts the uS Government
