why do alot of jamaicans think all american are spoiled?

let me start by saying i'm american and far from spoiled. i work hard everyday and take care of my family!
i work extra hard so i can come back to jamaica every year for the past 20 years its my home away from home and i love the jamaican way of life and when i retire i intend on moving to jamaica for the rest of my life.
i just dont understand why some jamaicans feel we are all spoiled its not true unless you one of bush's kids!
belive me alot of people here dont appreciate what they have but we are all not like that!

i have never been around any ignorant jamaicans but when i read some of these post i see that alot how americans are spoiled and rude im sure there are alot of rude people every were in the world and they are all not american.
the less we make generalizations the better we will all be!

Just to clarify one thing .. it's not just Jamaicans who think Americans are "spoilt".


Most people outside the borders of the US see that despite a wealth of things Americans have at their disposal- it’s never enough. Also, some times Americans are labeled that way because of they behave when they visit other countries. They want things their way and often times cannot accept that things are different culturally and socially else where.

I can understand that you may not be like that but in general terms, Americans are perceived as spoilt around the world for countless reasons.

I think this statement you made is ignorant....I have been a member for a short time and I have never seen any posts stating that Americans are spoiled.
