...It occurred to me after many people asked the instructions of how to post photographs on the board, that many of you may wish to copy your Trip Reports or other informative threads that appear on Jamaicans.com and save them on your computer's hard drive for future reference ... for the longest time, I didn't know how to do this, while at the same time keeping the thread's graphics and photographs intact ...
... [many of you probably already know how to do this ... these instructions are for other computer dummies like me ]
This is how I copy and save threads fully intact from the board into a Word document ...
Directions:
1. Point your cursor on the web page you wish to copy and right click on the page ...
2. Then, click on select all and the entire web page will be highlighted ...
3. Then, right click again on the highlighted page and select copy ...
4. Then, open a new Word document and paste the contents of the copied web page into the word document and then click on the save icon and choose a title for the Word doccument and then save it ...
In doing this ... the webpage is saved fully intact ... with the graphics, photographs and everything ... the saved document looks exactly like it looked on the board ... with the exception of any graphics that were 'moving' are going to be 'still' after they are copied ...
I hope that this information helps someone ... it's nice to have a record of a Trip Report or any other interesting thread saved on one's hard drive that a person wishes to save
