haile selassie sucked his people dry,..he could afford to be the best dressed man in the world while his country men went in rags because he bled them of the countrys wealth while he lived in total opulence.
he was simply another african despot who looked out for himself and whose only motivation was guilt and selfishness.
the prime minister of jamaica has absolutely no reason to apologise to rastafarians anymore than he needs to apologise to the jamaican people as a whole....and you need to go read and understand some more before you start to rant about "h.i.m" and rastas "fighting oppression poverty and distress"......the only thing rastas in jamaica are worried about (true rastas)are where their next pot of ital stew is coming from.
as for emperor haile selassie,..he is not 110 years of age,he is dead now....and good riddance to greedy selfish despots like him.

His Majesty built hundreds of school in co-operation and unity with the people and many other programmes to uplift them!
Yes! There was a famine in the south which was not controlled by him!
Fire to Pope Paul and all his followers who have the biggest bank accoubt in the world and beg for the poor and needy and build up the bank account even more.

and since when has it been taboo to show my opinion regarding something without someone having to "mash my corn"....I showed my contempt for the insinuation that selassie was a saint ...sheesh!

sis simeon,.like yourself I make no apology regarding my comments about selassie,..I have absolutely no negative vibes towards rastas as I was once a rasta myself...I do maintain that selassie was a greedy despot who bled his country dry whilst people starved.

to draw a line under this subject as far as my contributions....selassie was never a rastafarian. he never practised rastafarianism,or professed to be a rastaman.
he was the ruler of an african country,and it is in that context that I critised his rulership of his country.
