The thread was for a fledgist type answer, not for me to profess.

I would say the main difference is origin, though much of the definition is a fake.

In the system surrounding Obeah, there is highly sophisticated division of social responsibilities, same thing with voodoo, besides that they both originate from neighbouring cultures.

I leave all doors open. I don't believe in Obeah but wheather is works, and is real, I can't say because I have no experience with it. But lets say I have had some pretty amazing experiences with native spiritual practices so I don't doubt it's the same with Obeah.
