I'm not certain (I'll have to go do some research), but I think Church of Divine Man gets around such "failure." I can't recall offhand if souls can "opt out" of the cycle once they've reached enlightenment, or if CDM uses the whole Christian, world-coming-to-an-end scenario. They pull from quite a few religious and new age traditions, so it's hard for me to keep track of which part of their philosophy aligns with which established religion.
I did have a pretty entertaining past life reading done through them, though, and when I asked about my purpose in this particular life, they said it's apparently to "have fun." That's what I get for not taking them seriously, eh?[/QB]
