Living with low self esteem is a nightmare. People with low self esteem are easy prey for the peddlers of magic. Those liars are happy to tell you are lucky to be lost... they say, "Follow me!"

I never understood what Jesus means here, when he talks of the "poor in spirit"? Why not just say "Blessed are the poor,..." if he is talking about being impovereshed?
