Just a matter of semantics Wahalla. At very small time intervals, the cosmos may expand almost isothermally but on the time scales that we are used to dealing with, the expansion may be deemed adiabatic for all intents and purposes.

The grand conceit. It stems from humanity supposedly having a special place in the "grand design" of things. It is also manifested in the proclamation in genesis that man having dominion over the world.

In reality, the cosmos could care less if an insignificant species such as us that inhabit and pollute the mote of dust that we live on that, in turn, circles a mundane GV class stare that, in turn, circles core of an ordinary class 1 spiral galaxy never existed.
