Tuff discover what you saying, this post has a thesis you know, I have carefully stated what I had meant to stay within the body of the topic, even stepping out of it to accommodate others. Yet within the limits of the post as originally defined, the detractors have managed to be stuck on the author because he won't answer questions.

Where I come from and how I operate, you don't answer people who are playing the devils advocate; leave them alone let them swim in them slime cause they are not approaching the conversation in good faith. Anyone who reads the length of this knows, and anyone who watch the post on this board especially those that coincide with post made in politrix, current news, and religion will see the source of some opponents coated matter.

They have no intentions of reasoning they want to belittle, to tear up and shred the post. You don't talk to people by inserting your thought as verdict. You share in conversation and allow the chips to fall.

In many ways this post have been hijacked and turned into a show of a voice of one school, which I am still to hear their case if they have one, and the other who is showering a barrage of whether Pilot is making sense ??? or what size, shape or year Pilot mind is in, should that be our guide at communication.

No child will get smarter this way, no adult will get wiser this way...their is opportunity for questions if and when the time for answering those questions have come. That will only come when we can reasonably attest to the fact that it is going to be a point of informing, then and only then will I perform this service being directed by others.

For now its my post,I am hearing rebuttals even when the other parties are not even in sync with the line of reasonable dialogue; and so in the best interest of the community I will not allow myself to be caught in a fire of confusion.

One thing is for sure, some of the observers that have sort to intervene over the past weekend recognise fully the depth of the post, thanks for participating and thanx for adding your voice in much more reasonable tones.

Again I guess the wrap will come on this, but I can safely say it was a post of some semblance of information, It did offer some the ability to state their faith in a reasonable manner and for others to show up their livid colors.

Lastly I have never formally studied mass media or journalism, I have skills and talents fit for broadcasting and interactive communication. My conscience as a matter of faithfulness to God is my guide in how I choose to exhibit these skills. Let it be heard, no editor, no supervisor, no CEO, Or Managing Director has that clout over me. I operate as a servant of God in my work,in my play and so I decide on a subject by at the holy spirits guide. What is relevant or irrelevant in the story and how I should share it with the audience is determined by my Executive Producer Jesus Christ. Not the other way, if I needed to be a puppet to a right or left wing school of thought I would be at some conditioned, intellectual ghetto studying media or some other inflated thoughts attuned to mans wisdom. I am more principled than that...a higher calling should be recognised for what it is... not of this world.

PILOT, I think you should study mass media communications - especially if you are interested in conveying messages to a wide audience. I think that Christ, as your Executive Producer, would want you to hone your skills so that you can deliver your/his messages more effectively.

Your admission above that you haven't studied mass media explains somewhat why your posts are so hard to follow, as the key benefit of a mass media education is you learn how to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively. For example, one thing I learned in radio journalism class is that the listener only gets ONE CHANCE to hear what the announcer has to say, so it is essential that the announcer's words and ideas are clear the first time - the listener does not have the option of "rewinding" the radio to listen again to something they didn't understand the first time.

I hear what you say about mass media schools, though I don't agree with how you portray them. However, if you feel you have a higher calling and an urge to fulfill that calling, then I encourage you to strengthen your abilities in written communication (I haven't heard you on the radio, I can only go by what you've written). You don't have to go for a full degree in mass media, but there are courses here and there that you can take.

I'm saying all this in the spirit of friendship. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] I think it will help lessen your frustration at people's reactions to your posts.

MG I hear your words of friendship, yet vocation is not captured in a case and practiced as a matter of the thoughts of man. As for whether doing a few courses would count as studying mass media, I think not, nor will I waste my time studying something that I have enough experience to see the product of. Being a talking head isn't anything to be proud of.

I am going to ask you to read the entire thread of the post, take some time and you will see exactly where the split between me and some detractors take place. It's easy to see they come from one school of thought, different to mind.

It's never my burden of proof as a watch man to alert folks who keep interrupting my signal because they are not in mesh with the message.

Their are believers and non believers. I am not responsible for those who are set in their ways and are looking to use everything to stop my message, even if it means frustrating my attempts.

The Message therefore Mountaingyal, is public, yet less formal than you maybe want it to be in a bullitin board.The message has one intent, and its the authors responsibility to decide whether his job is done.

Moreover, I think you are out of line in making a statement to the effect that since I cannot get across to my audience then me fi go a school and learn to write. That is a lie, untruth , has never been the case here or anywhere else. I have listeners, some may complain because they cannot see the substance of the word at hand.

As for me having one choice for them to hear, that is where I differ, because this is radio, here it is in black and light on a screen available for you and others to read it, and save it if needs be, to read and read again until you understand what was said.

Their are many others who read and are encouraged. They are informed, and take away much, to Gods delight.And I don't have to show you proof of that. In the same token some take away and try and detract from my words out of frustrating me. I know them now and so, you just allow them to chat and you do your ting, simple.

I don't have to come here to talk, that is for sure, I go further, I can reach my people in many ways whether on the bulliten board or otherwise.Surely the Lord is in this place.

I can work at any media house I so choose, and there is no two ways about that, whether in Jamaica, US, Caribbean, England, once its an english language info-distribution channel. I know that....

But I think grass roots people should be informed and so even if I have to put up with cynics and scoffers in a place of diverse views on faith, I will. Because Gods people are here too, and we will always overcome. Those who are evil and up to no good are only for a time. That's not a threat, that is a known fact to all believer of Christ Jesus.

Sunshine chic, i have worked in Mass media it was said in this post above where, i am also trained in the rudiments of mass media but not at the teritairy level.

Yes i have thought about teaching in Jamaica, it is a long term goal of some sort but I will pass/cross the bridge at the appropiate time so help me God.

I must say to him who is given much, much is expected. As a youngster I always believed that a calling at a early age is something you guard well. I don't follow/submit to mass appeal for acceptance and approval, or praise, dats what mass media is about beer hype... Bag of mouth...talking heads who sacrifice their integrity for stories, and for organisations, and leaders.

So I moving in the right direction of Gods calling where you serve your fellow man as how you would like him deal with you, thats all I am about.

again its a blessing for me to share and interact here, and I look forward to doing that more time.

I tend to stay away from political topics for no one is ever really objective about politics. We all have an agenda.

Pilot has kinda closed the book on this post so in the closing moments of its life I would like to inject another christian perspective.

The law of demand and supply is iron clad and there are no alternatives to capatalism in a world where monetary policies have made all goods and services a part of the hydraulic economy.

Pilot have a point, technology is the shutoff/on spigot to the evolving hydraulic economy and the owners of capital will controll the money to limit access to all goods and services and soon maybe, breathable air, potable water and even safe sunshine exposure, things we call free.

Call it doomsday but we are quickly running out of exploitable free energy sources which are not poisonous to our atmosphere, damaging to our enviorment in their exploitation or easily convertable to WMD by rogue goverment or terrorist groups.

For those who favour wind or solar, these will never evolve into mass use unless capital can controll the tap with a pipeline. Nothing is free in a capatalist society and even public goods have a cost.

God have never showed partiality to any economic system, his theocratic goverment in ancient Isreal levelied a tax of ten percent (tithe) collected by the preisthood which were both the spiritual and economic administrators (civil servants) of the nation. At the heart of all systems is man the heart of who is decietfully wicked and greedy, all his systems suffer from mans basic fault, sin at the core.

God economic system is based on our faith in his all- sufficiency.

In Eden Adam and Eve had all they needed and then some, their sufficency was provided by God.

God plan was never for man to be self-sufficient, herein lies the issue of our current economic plight.

God promised Isreal if they would bring the tithe into his storehouse and abide by his ways he would open the windows of heaven and give them blessings which they could not contain.

Examples, Manna there was always enough, 'sufficient for the day is the good thereof'
Jesus feeding the five thousand - twelve baskets over enough.

The disciples ordered to cast out their nets, overabundance, had to call the neighbours, their nets could not hold the catch.

Elijah lasted a famine from a cruise of oil and some cakes, the oil never ran out.

God was not against reprimanding the servant with one talent for not earning interest on his money but hiding it in the ground to earn nothing, he praised the servant who risked all his five talents and gained a profit of 100% God is not against honestly gained profit.

Jesus in being asked if tribute should be paid to the state, asked for the coin and replied "render to Ceasar the things that are Ceasar and to God the things that are Gods.
He took a coin from the mouth of a fish to buy food. Jesus was not against the use of money.

At Adam's fall however we became subject to our own efforts to provide sustinance, the earth gave it rewards stingily, abundance changed to want, a new situation existed, scarcity.

All our econmic systems today by and large operate under conditions of scarcity, scarcity is created to fuel demand, whevever a comodity is in constant overabundance that commodity becomes a giffen good.

Man uses technology to fuel demand and technology also creates the pipeline to set prices.

Pilot is right in that the world economic system so focussed as it is now on maximising resource allocation for the basis of profit is seting up itself for boom or busts, but with so much riding on busts i.e the retirement hopes of millions heretofore unpreceedent the prospect of the prophesied Babalonian meltdown on a global scale is a reality as more and more of the world's citizens demand growth at all costs, at all times.

There is a tide in the affairs of men which taken at the flood leads on to fortune, encountered all the tragedies of life is frail with......on such a full sea are we now afloat and we must take the current as it swerves or lose our ventures....Shakespeare's "Merchant of Venice"

This I know you can't take it with you, "occupy till he comes" but work while it is still called day.

Eventually man best efforts will fail, it is written, man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Man's best efforts will fail, miserably,terrifyingly, and the wreck shall be worldwide death and destruction, then Jesus will come with all-sufficiency, comfort one another with these words, those who look for him, that is.

This is the good news to those who believe in him. Fearful for those who don't.

What if Pilot was to end up in Mass Communication Class taught by Fledg, or Fledg was to be seconded to Pilot`s school.

Thats the long and short of it, The good news is one that has many sides to it and once you begin presenting the message of the time, which main stream media normally forgets you usually cause the stomach of scoffers to turn.

Like hawks and wild animals they usually want to do every and anything to stop that message because of its source and their own unfaithfulness to God which has left them drowning in fear.

Its fear of the presentation and the topics intent of questioning positions that we have made in our lives that has caused this. The unbeliever is insecure, they are the ones who cannot tell whether a disaster is imminent either way, and although warning signs are pointing to the fact that they have an involvement in the distress that is leading us into greater anarchy they will not take any responsibility in it. They would prefer to blame the messenger and the message which was being offered in advance to help us all from overcoming the end of the age.

I am a realist, tools and skills are no more reputable when they come from airheads, who either are at TBN, BBC, RJR or LOVE FM. or the gleaners stables...

What is important is that we all use the sources offered to us and let the holy scriptures along with the holy spirit help us remain faithful and true.

It seems that the theocrats had their day, their centuries, but in the last 500 years, many of the people realized that, "Nope, he's not coming." Now people have been predicting that "He's coming!!", for a long time. Who was the first one to predict his return? Why Jesus himself was. And what did he say? He said, Luke 9:27, "But I tell you truly, there are some standing here today, who will not taste of death before they see the kingdom of God."
