That same prophetess I mentioned taught me that you have to get intimate with Jesus. She described that relationship that we have with men/women.. how we get all dolled up, we are on our best behaviour, we talk nice, walk nice we are out to impress our man/woman and we "woo" them...or they "woo" us. They send us flowers, chocolate, (love letters CEW) [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] they do all of these things to get our affection.

She told us that God wants to get intimate with us..he wants to "woo" us.. to love us and guide us, get cozy with us.

We have a long day and we don't even spend time with Him, we don't listen to Him or talk to Him.

I became intimate with Him in a different way after I learned that.

Sorry guys, I absolutely have to share this one.

This past Wednesday, a personal friend of mine was faced with a very difficult situation. Naturally, it was something we talked about and she was steaming mad - I think smoke was coming out of her ears - as she talked about all the things she was going to do. Given the gravity of what she was dealing with, I understood the reaction (anger) but even though I thought her options were wrong, she would have none of it. The day ended on that note.

On Thursday morning while in the shower (of all the places!) the inner voice told me that amidst all the options talked about, none of them included turning the situation over to Him. This one-sided conversation (I just listened) went on for several minutes, but when it was over, I really comitted my friend and the situation over to the Lord. On the drive in to work, knowing how determined this person can be, I struggled with sharing what had happened but by the time I got to work, I felt I had to do it. Not caring too much for what the reception might be, I resorted to sending an email of the morning's encounter and shared what God had laid on my heart for her. I reminded her of Phillipians 4:6,7 and told her not to worry about what would happen from one day to the next as by the time she got there, God would have already been there. I sent the mail and felt it was the right thing to have done, regardless of how she reacted.

Well, lo and behold, I got a call shortly after and she was laughing. I wasn't quite sure what was so funny but she indicated that while she was out on Wednesday night, she *was* convicted of leaving God out of her options, and that God had dealt with her on it to the point where once she got home, she went on her face and repented before Him. He even reminded her not to worry about what would happen from one day to the next as He would be there by the time she did! Same message as I got in the shower!!!!! She had tried calling me but as if by Divine intervention, she was not successful. By this time there were goose bumps all over me. I asked of God, why deal with me on it if you had already dealt with her? Funnily enough, she gave me the answer. It was God's way of confirming to her what He had convicted her of, as chances are good if that had He not done so, she probably would have second guessed her own experience, knowing how strongly she felt about the situation she was faced with.

I figured God has His ways of getting things done, and I can honestly say that those ways are past finding out. I am just glad that I was obedient and that the confirmation was received when it was most needed.
