Today is a beach day. I think that this probably the last installment, because this is what I did for the last 4 days.
I had forgotten that Benji and his wife were coming to Negril today, so when they showed up, it was a pleasant surprise. They had stopped by Dennis’ yard, Benji and Dennis go way back. They are on their way to Blue Cave Castle to spend the night.

Later, I saw this cute little girl on the beach.


Kiesha, the beach massage/braid girl and my “Jamaican dawta” came by to hail me up. She strolls up and down the beach every day braiding hair and giving massages. I promised her that I would get a massage on Tuesday. Business is slow for her, and she is supporting a son, so I want to help out, not give a handout.

Hey QueenB...I know your Keisha...a few years back 7 family members (all women) went to Negril with me and all of them had their hair braided by her! She is such a sweetie pie! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
Loved the report by the way. And the pics of Benji's were great. How long does it take to get up there to him? Next trip I'd love to go!

Thanks, PLJ! Yes, I always recommend Keisha to friends who come to Negril. Although Benji's is just beyond Sav, it takes a full 45 minutes to get to, mostly because the roads are so bad the last mile. Creeping, creeping at 5-10 mph! If you decide to go, call my friend Tommy. He's taken me there every time except the last time when my daughter drove. He negotiates those rocky roads like a pro. Tommy's # is 423-5770.

GREAT report queenb....i haven't gone out to the lighthouse or benji's have to try both hopefully on the next trip

Great report! Love all the pics. Where do we find Keisha? I know that at least one of my traveling companions wants to have her hair braided while we are there.

Keisha travels the beach, mostly between Negril Gardens and Bar-B-Barn. She has to keep moving, because the other braiders who have permanent spots don't like her to steal their business.
