Hushbaby, I didn't hike the Bluemountains, although I wanted to. We even bought some warm clothes in Kingston...but as it got closer I came to the conclusion that I was not up to it mentally or physicaly, nor did I have the proper shoes...next time, hopefully. My friend Mila, that owns Moonlight Villa's tells me that its an awesome hike and she stayed at Mavis Bank once she got to the top.

IM, I love your picture of the hammock too...you are still planning to be there for Donkey Derby, right? Can't wait to meet you. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I am trying hard to get there for the donkey races, I've had a few setbacks, but still have my ticket...

3 years ago I duct taped that thing all up nice and hauled it down. It was a little bit of a pain to haul but it's one of those things in yard that just seemed to fit right in, and ended up being a favorite thing to many. I love to lay in it and read!

It's been moved to better accomadate the new thatch area and there's going to be a new bar built where the hammock used to be. Here's a pic of where it is now, right near the entrance way to the bar....

My friend, these pictures are wonderful. I did the Blue Mountain Tour back in 1998. We didn't hike. We hired a driver who drove us all the way up to the the top at Mavis Bank. The coffee is sold up there and is much cheaper. The tour was awsome. Up there we were amidst the clouds!
