Rockhouse Negril cliffs...the photo album

One of the things I found before going to Negril was that many of the web sites don't contain very good or many photos of the resorts...and as a first time visitor, i was hungry for all the images I could get...

This was true of the Rockhouse...so I decided to take as many pictures as I could to share with others who wanted to know what the place really looks like...

here are some of them (tho, pictures can never do it true justice...it's quite beautiful and a pleasure to stay there)

The villas

the pool is spectacular...slightly salty from the sea spray over the cliffs in rougher weather...



a nice backdrop for a photo!

yes...small world...we're in webster...an east end burb of rochester...
just coming out of a terrible ice storm over the weekend...many lost power...some still haven't any...being a northern ontario canadian ...i'm used to roughing it...no true hardship for me...but glad to have my cable/Internet back!!

the little bridges over the cliff inlets are so beautiful to walk along...











so many photo opportunities...bring lots of film or memory cards...

You are killing me with these photos!!!!!!!!!

1. Loved that place...look at that water!
2. You make me want to go out and buy a digital camera.
3. Wasn't it hard to get a good pic of that shower? I've got a few but they just don't do it justice.

yes...i couldn't get a photo inside the shower at all...impossible ...too small to get any angle on it...and hard to describe too...but it was the best!

go get a digital camera...you won't be sorry! alan used to be a photographer by profession...and still uses his 35mm sometimes...but has to admit that the pictures i take with my little kodak digital are damn good!

snowing here today...where is spring? guess that's why i'm in the mood to post these pictures...

the restaurant has a great reputation...wonderful food...and a view to die for...morning, noon or night...the little pristine cove and its waters are a delight...and usually more than a few people snorkeling there...



you can see the stone ledge and stairs just below the restaurant (bottom left corner)...a great place to get into the water...



here's a better view of that stone patio below the restaurant...used it often to go snorkeling from...

here's one of the patio areas just in front of one of the first villas nearest the restaurant towards the pickled parrot...it's morning...the sun hasn't hit the cliffs quite yet...



this little thatched hut jutting out from the cliffs near the restaurant is a favourite spot...almost always occupied during the day...and so picturesque...

so many inviting places to catch a few rays...the place is so laid back...it's hard to stay awake!!



these little perches with the bright umbrellas dot the cliffs in front of the villas...claim one early in the day...they go fast!



oh...another view from the restaurant in the morning...towards pickled parrot...



and one more from our villa out towards the cliff edge sunbathers...
