Now...I've never posted a trip report before so bare with me. Also...I still have on these fake acrylic tips from my wedding and it's hard for me to type with them.
As some of you know I've been planning this wedding for some time and anticipating my return 'home'.
I've never stayed at an AI before...I like to take up temporary residence off the beaten path when I go home. But, I wanted to make things easily accesible for my family members (40 people and 5 kids) so I decided Sunset Beach in MoBay.
Okay...'Ogust Tirteent' mind you ...days will melt together..I apologize.
4:00am...clock blaring...poke my man to wake up and shower so we can zoom to the airport.
I was up all night...slept about an hour, making sure I packed all the favors, programs, shoes, and put out my gown and two tuxedos (one his, other his dads). I knew that I wouldn't sleep because it has been 4 long years since I've seen my Jamaica. It's amazing how life gets away with you. But..in that time I met the love of my life..and it brought us back to the island again.
My man has never laid eyes on Jamaica..I say to him "honey..I pray you love jamaica the way I do..cause if not..I'll have to leave you home cause i WILL be going back!" He smiles at me and says, "i trust you...I know I will love it".
So off to the airport...into the economy/long term lot. I pray my car will start when we get back, it's old and when it doesn't run for a few days the battery dies.
My heart is beating so fast, just being on the Air Jamaica check in line. There are four other ladies holding long white dress/garment bags. I just smile to myself and from time to time I meet eyes with a few of the ladies and we just grin at each other.
I always try to get an exit door seat for my man...he's 6'5" but of course they are never available.
Check in is okay but the lady tells me we have to check one of the tuxes....I argue with her..tell her how many times I've flown Air Jamaica..she kisses her teeth, I kiss mine and I WIN!
Lawd a mercy!
So after 4 large pieces of luggage are checked in we run to the gate. My man looks at me like, 'why the hell you walking so fast?'...I give him a look and right away he understands..I'm just anxious to get home.
