I just did Mayfield in May. It was so beautiful. I couldn't swim through the cave either, but did everything else. The natural jacuzzi where the three small falls meet is awesome - a built-in back and neck massage!

I wore Tevas and was very comfortable. Our guide was hilarious and knew where to step for every single rock and underwater stone. Incredible!

Sandals, the brand is Teva. They're good for in and out of water.

Oh My Gosh.... I loved Mayfield Falls.... I like doing things in Jamaica that aren't so touristy.. where u can feel one with Jamaica. The ride there was beautiful.... I pulled the window down on the bus, that me and my 3 friends had to ourselves. You can smell the scent from the stuff being burnt up in the bush. It is great and it is so green..... u r riding thru a jungle. That it itself is an experience. Bring along a few red stripe beer for the ride up. When u get there it is so natural and beautiful. The water is so clear and areas of depth that u can jump into and the mineral springs that the guide will take u under... u feel so refreshed while the water is just pouring over u and u are under this little area pressed against the rocks. Words can not describe.... It was breathe taking. Then after the climb up... they walk u thru this jungle and show u all these natural plants and realize how much we complicate things in life. It is something I definitley recommend if you want to get one with nature and true Jamaica.
