Sometimes I breeze through spell check and just keep going; the Norm reference is perfect. I did correct the mistake.

The hair thing,
My g'friend would go to the salon on our first day to get extensions ,this happened every trip. I even asked in Dear K why do Jamaicans want to use the hair. I loved her natural look. However she never wanted this look.
Now she realizes it's a little foolish to just have more hair.So the last 2 times she curls it and colors it;its currently Orange. We men are so easy with this part of our look..... just cut it short Man.

The nails are the other piece of art. Theirs a well known nail salon in Negril that she will sit in for hours and chat just to get that new look,what ever happened to the Hippie girls I loved; all natural.

Let's see.
No fake nails, I take special vitamins that make my own real ones grow. Right now I just have a neat manicure and clear polish...
Hair, cut short, all white..it's natural color. Get it cut at the barber shop once every 5 weeks or so for 10.00. No perms, no chemicals, sometimes I don't even blow dry it, just wash and go......DO I get the job???????

I was cracking up reding your trip report. I was at the Idle at the same time as you and Scott... recognized you in the photos, but more importantly I am one of the 'ya ya's'! My best friend's "island girl" name is Coco, but not her real name. There are 12 of us... we met several years ago, when 2 of us planned a trip to Negril, and we told 2 friends, and they told 2 friends, etc. All 12 of us first met at the airport departing for the trip. Most of us return each year together, stay at the Idle, and are also very very close friends now at home here in Minnesota. We love getting together and rehasing our wonderful trip memories. We will be returning next year at the same time, with even more friends and family- because one of the couples in our group will be getting married at Idle!! Hoping to see you again next February!

WOW Loops that was great.. I started your report long ago and then I never finished... up early on a sunday morning I decided to catch up... really enjoyed it..

We are all hook line and sinker for one reason or another.. I think a lot of people now are splitting time between the cliffs and beach.. I have yet to do it.. I always research it and then just park my butt on the beach.... I also do no enjoy walking the cliff road so I think thats a big piece of it..

Hope all of us return junkies will eventually all meet up there ... thinking about when I will be back... got three times in mind... (shhhhhh)

Mi heart!!!! That's so funny that you have found yourself in this trip report! Is your friend named Coco after the Divine Secrets? Were you surprised to see yourself referred to as a Ya Ya? I am just back from a weekend with my own Ya Ya's and got such a kick out of your post! We all took a trip to Key West a few years ago that was a blast. If you vacation with the right group of people, you can really have a fun time.

A wedding at Idle sounds wonderful...a girl I met on these boards just got married there...did you see her pix? Her name is lizardbeth.

Is the blond, skinny lady at Idle the owner? Were you wondering about what went on with the cig man until you read my report?

By the way, which one were you? Coco was the blond with the visor, right? Sorry, so many questions. Anyway, hope you enjoyed my report! Best to the rest of the ya ya's!!

Nina, thanks, glad you liked my report. You really should split up the trip...just get all your walking in before you move to the west end...save the last couple days to just veg in a chair looking over the colors in the water up there...do you snorkel? It's an underwater para dise! Also, Mayfield is wonderful and so beautiful..not touristed badly at all...yet...you must go!

Still thinking about coming to Maine? We're expecting 70's maybe even 80 today...can you believe it? I have to drive to Burlington VT tonight for work...just an overnighter and then we'll be heading to open the camp this weekend!!! yippee!! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

My first trip to Negril was all female. Those all female trips are the best!!! We didn't call ourselves "YaYa's", we were Wise Godesses, same spirit and energy though. LOL. Leslie if you want to plan a Godess trip to Negril please include me!! I am counting down the days 'til Christmas.
