Loops.. not sure about Maine this summer.. But I am hoping so... I have a feeling there are going to eb a lot of sponataneous trips.. few days here and there..

Eventually I will stay on the cliffs a few days.. Thing is I like to travel around the island and when I get to Negril I just sort of poop out... but I am thinking maybe to go to Negril for a few days first to see friends and beach it.... then travel around and come back(if time allows)..

I am encouraged to rent a vehicle and try it next time.. we'll see... but I tell you .. I love living vicariously through everyone elses trip reports...so thanks for sharing yours..

Ok outside now to enjoy 80 degrees.. YES...

Sue, I was in Kittery on sunday and on my way back north as we headed out on route one I noticed a sign with a jamaican flag on it and it said JAMFOOD. Do you know anything about that place? How long has it been there etc...

Love my times with the women! I think my trip report is finally convincing them to try jamaica...one of these trips, we'll go it without the men! Scott wants to do Alaska, which I am losing interest in...so that may be my chance.

It was really wild to find myself and the Ya Ya friends in your trip report. My friend-Coco, has that name from a vacation years ago, when she had a ridiculous Coco Chanel beach bag...she is the one that always wore black and white swim suits, the one that was interested in the same painting as you. (I think she bought a different one) The blonde in the visor is Annie, our soul mother. I am the 'hippy' one, with brown hair always clipped up. The tall skinny blonde is the owner- yes. She is really a nice, friendly woman. Did you have a chance to meet Victoria, the novelist that was staying at the Idle also? It was quite an eclectic bunch of wonderful people there, that's for sure! Debra-the Italian woman is the one getting married next year while we are there in February. Juicy is going to make a floral arch and a big bonfire for the wedding party. It is going to be even more fantastic than the last visit- if that is possible. Hmmm, wish we were back there in Negril again right now! We sure hope that you and Scott are there to enjoy it with us. We will be there Feb 14-29- 2 whole weeks this time! Excellent report. Very nice details about both the Rockhouse and Idle Awhile. You are so right about the jr. suite offering hardly any privacy. I've stayed in all the suites at Idle and my favorite is the upstairs garden one (yes not the ocean view). It's quiet and the view is fab. Rockhouse of course, is one of my favorites on the cliffs. Can't go wrong with either place.

1st time girl- You mentioned the FOJ bashment in October. I do hope you get a chance to check it out. Last year's Bashment was a success and this year we are hoping it will be even better. Idle Awhile will be the main headquarters again this year and Rockhouse is one of the host hotels. Both properties offering rates that can't be beat.
