I am going to make each post short; I am having some computer freeze up problems. We flew non-stop from Pittsburgh to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversery & made it through the airport in 20 minutes. Upon our arrival we were delighted to find out we were upgraded to a 2 room oceanfront suite. Here are some of the views
Re: Mobay/Negril - dan's wyndham & elsewhere report
We were amazed a few of the staff remember us since our last visit, 3 years ago. My wife has written to one lady for 4 years & we presented the gifts we brought for her and her children. We made plans to get together with them on Friday, her boyfriends day off. During the week we enjoyed the amenities the resort offers & the well kept grounds.
Re: Mobay/Negril - dan's wyndham & elsewhere report
We spent a lot of time at the waterpark, sailing, visiting & enjoying all the places to eat. Friday rolled around & my wife woke up dizzy & naueous. She couldn't make the trip we planned to meet our friends family. They picked me up & we were off. I 1st met her children & her boyfriend. Then we went to their home & met her Mom, her sisters, & their children.
Re: Mobay/Negril - dan's wyndham & elsewhere report
We were off again; real nice car. Her boyfriend works for Cable & Wireless, knows the roads, & was quite safe. We went through Reading, made a left, & up the hill to Anchovy. Took our good old time, lots to see as we rolled past Montpeiler & into Savann la Mar; where we stopped got something to drink (Res Stripe for me), & stretched our legs. As we went past Little London I realized this is Sienna's hometown. We went into Negril & stopped again at the lighthouse.
Re: Mobay/Negril - dan's wyndham & elsewhere report
Well, that's about it for a while; my wife's pics are really nice, but, I have to pick some out, put them on disc, & post them at a later date. Special thanks to queen b for her excellent instructions on posting digital pics. This was my first attempt, but, not my last. Feel free to answer any questions you may have about the Wyndham either on the board or by e-mail...Dan

Cheers
Re: Mobay/Negril - dan's wyndham & elsewhere report
There were weddings everyday, the staff said there are sometimes 3 or 4 everyday. Our room was on the west side (near the golf course), but, I have seen the gazebo, too; it's very lovely, I am sure you will love it. There were weddings on the golf course side too; it's right past the place where they sell crafts. Best of luck, hope all goes well, & don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have................Dan

Very nice picture and report Dan!
Sorry your wife didn't feel good and couldn't make the trip through the country. Sounds like you had a good time.
Re: Mobay/Negril - dan's wyndham & elsewhere report
My wife felt terrible knowing she could not make that trip. Hopefully, when we return, she will be able to go with us. It was the highlight of the whole week, at least, for me.
Re: Mobay/Negril - dan's wyndham & elsewhere report

Re: Mobay/Negril - dan's wyndham & elsewhere report
Wonderful report and pics. My husband is Jamaican and had a room and shared bath (cold water only) in Anchovy which I did stay in from Jan 2002-July 2002 until he departed JA and came to LA (Cali). He was born in Sav La Mar.
It seems you have found a second home! Wyndham is lovely.
My heart warms when I see that tourists venture out into the real Jamaica and feel the warmth of her people and culture
