No it's not a Sandals hotel,it"s a bit cheaper! It"s beautiful!Jamaican Grande is an All-Inclusive hotel,the largest in all of Jamaica! 705 rooms maybe more!They have waterfallsand swimming pools between the two towers.It contains more beach front then any other hotel in Ochi!

The restaurants include the Dragon(CHINESE)
L"Allegro(ITALIAN)
Cafe Jamique
Mallards Court(international)
They also have a beach front Grill
A total of 8 BARS
Disco is on property Jamaic"N ME CRAZY!
One night a week they make the beach into a Carnival, with dancing entertainment and food and drinks!
Prices include meals,drinks,and water sports! If you get a package like we did that includes airfare,transportation from and to the airport!To look at it on the computer I would just type in Ocho Rios Jamaican Grande Renaissance Resort.Com or you Ocho Rios and listings should come up push where it says hotels and click Jamaica Grande! Try this website to I always use it to hear what critics and vacationers give their reviews about the hotel and surroundings!
TRIP ADVISOR.COM let me know what you think! It is close to Crafts Market and other shopping also close to Dunn"s River!

Great report!! Thanks for your openess and honesty, I was living it with you. I understand all those feelings you described.

Congrats on losing the pounds. I havn't hit the scale yet but I'm sure I've put on at least 5 pounds over the last 2 weeks. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] Aaah well. I have time to get back into shape before next trip. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Boopie--Thanks for the great tips on the Jamaican Grande. We will definately check that out. We haven't really decided where we want to stay yet and are looking at all possibliities and we are definately open to suggestions.

Thanks about the weight loss too. I've been doing really well not eating junk food or drinking more than the one soda I allow myself a day. Funny. I was talking on the phone to one of the guy friends I made there and I told him I was losing weight and that I had already lost 11lbs and he said.. You do not need to lose weight. Do not get all boney Cindy..You are just the right amount. Not too boney and not too fatty...just the right amount of fatty. LOL. Told him I need/want to lose some weight to feel better about the way I look. I also told him do not worry..I would never be boney, I have 3 kids. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
