You sure dat hits volvanic? It sounds to me like it may be natual gas .This may be a sign that there is hydrocarbons close by (under ground)? Is there a swamp near by ?

That's the first thing that came to my mind, too Wahalla. I wonder if they're sitting on a natural gas/or petroleum deposit?

Libby, I went to a spring like this --- not sure if it is the same one, but I think so. If it is, based on the pictures, they've put the fence up since last summer (the pool, fallen tree, and surrounding area look exactly like the place I was at --- only the fence is unfamiliar), there was no Rasta community there, and no charge to get in. It was A friend of mine who is a healer who sent me there as a part of a plan to combat arthritis (which she called arthwrongtis, of course). I went there many times last spring and summer. She calls it the 'firewater.' The water was lit, I got in...small flames spring up all around your body, but don't produce any burns. It is hot, but not unbearable. It is amazingly refreshing when you are done. A couple of times that I went, it was on the way home from trips to Kingston...and I just was too tired from traveling to want to stop. But I did, and each time, I was amazingly revived by the water --- feeling as if I'd just gotten a full night of sleep -- it was amazing! Libby --- if this is the same place, I leave it to you to decide if the location should be disclosed or not (out of respect for what the people who live there would want). Sister Nancy did the spring help your arthritis? Can you PM me about the healer and how I can contact them on my next visit. I'm very interested in anything natural for arthritis, I have had it since I was 17.

It definately is not volcanic,it is most likely methane gas,from the decomposition of organic matter and the water is what makes it safe. It would otherwise be a contineous flame once lit.

OK I checked back with Kenrick about the volcanic thing...I asked if the water was hot...he said not really..so good to be gas that omits from the water...they tell us its healing water as well... me not knowing much about gas in water then I'm not sure of its medical benifits but would be interested to find out..

Dr.Dudd what do you think?

The spring in on Kenricks land, he & his Rasta family & friends would like to welcome visitors but we have to call first to see if its a good day...they do other work as well, so not always around for guests at the time they want to visit.

The few bucks per head are well justified...we support them wholehearteled in their endevour...they offer a very laid back & hassle free visit....

Yes I am not sure if the is is the same one but there is one is St. Thomas a mineral Bath (Bath Fountain) very beautiful and nice when you done bwoy).

Leave the ras them alone them a enjoy the little business dem have...
