A new discovery for us a few weeks ago was finding a small Rasta community that has a spring on their property that is volcanic.
This small spring forms a pool with what looks like normal water...the bubbles on the top are the only give away that soemthing is different.
Kenrick who is the 'fire-keeper' took his lighter & placed it to the bubbles and flames leap up from the pond.He puts a pot on which soon boils.
The guys cook there daily meal here, they also use the water to help heal injuries & strains.
Just another small wonder that jamaica has to offer...
The 'firewater' pond
Kenrick fills the pot for lunch
the pot soon starts to boil
wiating for lunch!
Chef & BobI check out the river...a nice place to sit & chill for a while.
There is a small charge to visit the spring and lunch is available at local prices...all proceeds are divided among the Rasta's.
