Re: Things That I Hate Visitors Doing.....
I am reading this and I do agree with you , that a lot of tourists are very inconsiderate about what they say or what they do.
I think, the worse I ever heard, is from 2 clients, that I send to Jamaica. I worked with them for over 2 month to book them into a villa and they would call me every day with the silliest questions about everything, what should they bring, what kind of sun protection, how much money, how safe it is, what can they do, where can they go, it was a non stop and I was wondering what will happen when they get to Jamaica. Luckely, I was In Jamaica at the time, and I knew that it would be much better, if I go and pick them up in the airport for them to feel safer. I saw the 2 ladies standing and looking very confused and I realized, it must be them. I approached them and introduced myself and you will not believe what their first sentence was: "THERE ARE SO MANY BLACK PEOPLE HERE" First, I thought they were joking, so I turned around and said "Where???here in Jamaica???no!!!" You should have seen the look on their faces, as they were not amused and I realized they were serious. I always wondered after that, what made them choose Jamaica then??? To make the long story short, they did love their stay at the villas, they felt in love with the Island and the only complain they had, that they got way too much sun
I realize after, that it takes all kinds and you can't get upset with a narrow minded mentality.
Just my 2 cents.
I Love the Island and always feel like I am home and actually that's the first thing I say, when I land.
One love
