Re: Mayfield Falls Question

I can assure you those steps are there and there are a HUGE amount. There is another way to the Falls at the lower end so maybe you went that way which has only a few steps but a steep slope to climb.
I prefer the way with the large number of steps as you get to cross a wonderful bamboo bridge in
the valley.
Mayfield Falls is not for everyone. You imply there is not much there BUT that is what is so LOVELY about it. It has not been spoilt by masses of tourists or brashness. It is very low key and natural.
I am a nature lover and enjoy flowers, wildlife and mountain rivers. Mayfield Falls fits the bill 100% for me especially lying in one of the hammocks after a river climb watching the hummingbirds and listening to the water tumbling over the rocks.
Have a nice day.
