Re: Negril/OchoRios - Trip #12 Revelations and Reconciliation
Marilyn, I know what her civic duty was...and I keep threatening to tell it. She better show up cause I got a big mouth and I might just have to tell it.

Oh it's no biggie
Ros delivered a package to Mr. Gorgeous for me.
What was interesting about the encounter was it gave Ros a chance to see how people with dreads are sometimes treated in some establishments in Jamaica.
When this beautiful man arrived the security guard asked her if she was looking for a Rasta, and the way she told it to me over the phone the tone of voice would have been the same as if she was asked if she were expecting Bin Laden.
She was then asked to "sign for him" and quizzed about how long he would be on the property. It went downhill from there.

Marilyn...I've hardly gotten any work done today because I couldn't stop reading your trip report! Thank you sooooo much! The way you write makes you feel like I’m there... you've made me laugh quite a few times & my co-workers are thinking I'm losing my marbles. This was the first time I read it... I missed it the first time around, so thank you for bringing to the front again! Thank you, thank you for making my day with the report & those wonderful pictures!!!!

Hazel eyes you are most welcome. I can relate to the co workers, because when I was reading Ochee's report I was whooping out loud, and Cinni's as well.
Re: Negril/OchoRios - Trip #12 Revelations and Reconciliation
First trip was April of 2000, so that is 12 times in 4 years with #13 coming up in 50 or so days.
...and I was worried that after my divorce life was over. Good for you !!! See just goes to show you that good things can come out of a not so good sitution!
But now I'm jealous... cause I've only been one time since my divorce & that trip helped me tremdiously! I need to start planning again, but I'll never catch up with the Master(being you)!!!
Re: Negril/OchoRios - Trip #12 Revelations and Reconciliation

Re: Negril/OchoRios - Trip #12 Revelations and Reconciliation
What a riot - I have only done about 5 minutes of work today ....
I have been wrapped up in this new web site and reading all the trip recaps, soaking it all in and I can not keep my mind on anything else. I had seen the Girlfriends International web site in the past but never clicked into it, just did so today .... I am sure you must hear this all the time, but I must add my "Very Well Done!!" Ladies ... koodos to all of you! I have been trying to get some of my lady friends to join me on a Jamaican adventure - to date, it has not happened, so I go solo or with my son. My first visit many years ago was to Runaway Bay, I have visited Ochi a couple of times on day trips but never stayed there. Traveled cross country from Ochi back to Negril - can never get enough of the awesome beauty of the Island and the people. The other half of my life resides in Negril - so now I spend all my time there. He comes from the Westmoreland hills ... the community of Dias. We visit that area, off the "beaten path", often to spend time with his Aunt and other family members that helped to grow him from a boy. Some day we will take a week or so away from his work and travel around the rest of the Island .... there is so much yet to take in .... I get a bit of my fix by reading about all the adventures you have all taken and experienced .... and I LOVE all the photos!! What more can I say .... I am now hooked!
