Oh Marilyn, I don't quite know what to say. I have been reading this trip report as you have posted it. Yes, I have stalked the board just like everyone else, waiting for each new part.

Everything that I am feeling has already been said by everyone else, but I have truly enjoyed every word of this report. I am sorry that every part of your trip did not go as planned, but I am equally thankful for all of the good that came from this trip for you.

As I neared the end of the trip with you, I started to feel that sad empty feeling. As I just finished reading the report, I have tears in my eyes. Tears of sadness for you because you had to return to the real world [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] , and tears of joy for your reconcilliation with your true love .

Thank you again for sharing your vacation, and your heart with all of us. It is appreciated more than you realize.

I am up again Marilyn reading your report at 3 oclock in the morning and agan I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing with us this amazing trip report and I want you to always remember that even though you and the ladies have left Jamaica Your spirits are still there and you all have left your footprints in the sand of Jamaica. You are a shining star Marilyn and definitely a child of God! You light of my life with your threads on Jamaica because I too have an addiction for Jamaica.

I have 2 more days before it will be time for me to go to Jamaica and I am going to fine those footprints so that I can walk in them so I can have as much fun as you and the ladies did! Take care of yourself Marilyn and God Bless you all!

I got up this morning to all the accolades, and I would be lying if I said I don't love it!!!!!!

I wanna do like VI and address a few of you personally, but thank you for your kind comments everyone.

I need to talk about Susanna. You know everything that happens on this board is not a publicity stunt. There is a certain board member who has informed me that he is ever so sick of my "self promoting", whatever that means. But for years, Susanna and I have had the most wonderful relationship, but I have never publically spoken about it before.

Some people on this board touch your heart with their words. Susanna did that for me and we started to correspond off the board, even BEFORE I met Angie.

She was the first person to shake me out of my idealistic fog about Jamaica, life. love, and men there, and tell me that maybe I should be cautious because.......and then she shared some personal things with me. Knowing someone who had been there, done that, helped me to wake up, because Jamaica, and it's citizens can cast a definite spell on one. Eyes wide open, I was now able to deal better, and hopefully help others to do so.

When I was a child I read the "Anne of Green Gables" series of books. It was the "Harry Potter" for girls of our time. This series got many young ladies to reading who had not been into books. In this series of books, the main character has a best friend who is the "only person in the world" who understands her quirky behavior.

Somewhere along the line in our talking Susanna struck so many chords with me that I one day called her my "kindred spirit". She immediately wrote back YOU READ ANNE OF GREEN GABLES TOO!!!!!
That did it!!!!!!!!! A true connection was made.

We have kept in touch through her many journeys, which she is on a real important one right now, and I am there with you in spirit girl.

After one of my trips I came home and one of my special little girls at school had lost her mother to breast cancer and the funeral was held while I was gone. I have this disease as well, so it was scary for me. Susanna sent this child a lovely sparkly top and some jewelry to cheer her up all the way from Mexico.

She cares even about the people I care about. There are so many wonderful relationships forged on this board that are not broadcast, publicized or "self-promoted." Thank GOd for the nice people on Jamaicans.com.

That she is thinking about traveling with me thrills me to no end, and if this trip report brought that about, then goodie.

Ga Peach- I thought you were a new screen name for Angie's friend Peachy, but I see you are not, and you are new to me. I just wanted to let you know that I think you are a welcome addition to the board and a breath of fresh air.

Island Girl- thank you for your sweet comments and I have not forgotten you speaking up when that other lady was bouncing all over me and my posts on Negril.com. She has since gone to Negril and told someone who was thinking about letting us have an ad that I was "rude to her."
Since this person has known her longer, he took it as gospel, and that was that. No problem, we have an ad on the better site anyway, which is Ja.com. Jazz, you know this person as well.
But anyway girl, thanks for the suupport on both boards.

Sista girl- Over the years, much respect, and thanks. You came up in conversation on our trip as well, bet you didn't know you were there in K-4 did you???

Kath E- another new breath of fresh air for me. Have loved hearing your comments.

Keesha_ Do you look like your avatar? If so, mi nuh wan travel with you. The ladies I was with this time were competition enough.

Smith- <bowing humbly> your opinion matters much to me.

Sammy- Do you even know how much I can't wait to meet you in person? That you have had my back in ALL circumstances, even when I might have been wrong, means the world.

Jazz- I hope you travel with us someday, but you know that other lady will haunt you for it.

Orbra- YOU need to send me some money for my cell bill. I heard you and Vi stayed on the phone from 11:00 pm to 5:00 Am. don't I have good instincts?

Lady Z- You are a beautiful, poised, and sophisticated young woman. I didn't even know they made them like you anymore. It was SUCH a pleasure meeting you.

Grandma2- Queen B's cousin. You also have ALWAYS been nice to me, and I sooooooooo appreciate it. Your spirit is a positive one on this board.

Shortee-DO NOT for a minute think they don't know and recognize you on Fiserhman's beach. They did ask about you. Go there with the right spirit and respect and you will be accepted as family, and you are. July baby!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah
Here's one little detail that I forgot to put in that came to me in the middle of the night. Remember when the girls and I got to Evita's and there was this mysterious lady over in the corner chain smoking, sipping wine, shuffling papers and talking endlessly on the cell phone? We were all wondering who she was and what she was about.

She turned out to be the one who came to my aid when I passed out. Well turns out she is the owner of Wrap You World, where we had been earlier and bought the place out. Small world huh?

School supplies for the children. Libby did Chef go by Skycastles and pick up the ones for the Ochii side? I wouldn't leave them there too long.

Ok I have to stop here and tell this story. Hopefully I can tell it in such a way that will not embarrass George, but this was such a SPECIAL event for me I have to say SOMETHING!!!!!

George showed up looking all cute and smelling all good and fresh and just darling....armed with a warning to watch himself from his Mom in that room with all those wild women. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

He came to get his skates that had been purchased by board member A, shipped to board member B, who didn't get to take them, so they got shipped to board member C, Sassy Ras, who took them to Negril, and them Ochii. WHEW!!!!!

Sassy could take them because she had a lot of room in her luggage because she wears a size 0, and heck she wore most of Classy's clothes, when she wore much at all!!!!! Fast A. (I'm just J)

So George had made arrangements to attend the movies while in town and meet some friends, but it was still a couple of hours away, so he had a layover in our room.

He tried his skates out on the parking lot at Skycastles, and the first thing he did was take the breaks off. Yikes!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I had the pleasure of spending some time with Libby and George at lunch on a previous trip. NEVER have I seen a mother and son better connected. In all the right places she is MOm,and then like a genie she can slip into "friend" mode, and they talk brutally honest.

Libby has been very ill and just got out of the hospital. Her son expressed to me that he missed her care ,and her presence, and her conversation, and everything about her. He as miserable without his MOm. I was soooooooooo touched.

But this is what got me, and without disclosing details...George spent about two hours, maturely and candidly and unabashedly talking to his Aunt Marilyn, Aunt Classy, and Aunt Shirley and Aunt Sassy about life and love, and girls. He was soooooooooooo cute. When one of the ladies would make a point that he felt was useful, he actually got a page out of my journal and wrote down notes for future reference.

I only have one girl, and just for a little while it gave me the chance to see what it would be like to have a son. For Classy and Shirley (who has two boys), it was a peek into the future. For all of us women, it was probably the most honest conversation we ever had with a member of the opposite sex, because George is honest, and forthright, and open beyond compare.

Now this was just one of the highlights of the trip for me, and Libby I hope you don't even show him this post because it might embarrass him. He told me that he reads the boards only on occassion, but thank you for letting us borrow your young man for one evening.
