So I am seeing that from where we are staying it is going to require some field trips to the cliffs. I have no problem with that, but getting women together and loading folks into a van will be a field trip. Still, that will be a good reason to go over to the cliff side which we tend to neglect.
Ok so tell me this. The one thing that I love about the cliffs is the views. So out of the cliff places you guys have mentioned, give me breakfast with the best view. The one that will make the ladies not care what is on their plate as long as they can look out at.......
just natual is in a lovely setting because of the grounds but it's across the street from the view of the water
I had a beautiful breakfast at Whispering Bird during Bashment 2003. A buffet was set up on the beach. Their beach is a quiet very shaded atmosphere. The food was very good and I remember eating two servings.
We were also able to tour the property and look at some of the rooms. I still have dreams about showering in those huge showers.
the cottages are hidden away like little secret treasures. they are back from the beach which makes for a wider beach. there are hammocks set among the trees. there is a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Beautiful flowers as well.
Thanks for the info Seveen, I am looking for something close to the beach so that i can hear the ocean at night, and preferrably sit on the veranda and watch the ocean, guess I am looking for a beachfront property?

Someone may know a lot more about Negril than I do, but I think your have a lot better chance of hearing you beautiful ocean on the cliffs. I am primarily thinking of those wonderful cottages jutting out on the ocean at Rockhouse. I am sure someone had a picture. I have never stayed there, but I am assuming that the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks that hold your building would sing you a lullaby.
Also I think that some of those cottages at Jah B's are kinda close to the beach. Maybe there you can get what you crave, a wave.
I have stayed in the cliffs before, I prefer to hear the waves from the beach. I got a free free ticket to Jamaica, and I am on my way. I have to use this ticket before Aug 25 2004 (no problem mon)
Marilyn, when you were at Selina's, did you happen to notice our large Jamaicans.com banner hanging anywhere??????????? It used to be right up front, and could be seen from the street, identifying Selina's as both a Boardite Club sponsor and a previously set up "Meeting Spot."
I've noticed as I go up and down the beach road to work that the sign is no longer there.
As far as the 'best breakfast spot' - you know me, not only do I find the tourist breakfasts overpriced but unfilling...then again, my palate is so tuned in to countrystyle cooking, I rarely make suggestions for many places anymore. However, should you want good food at proper Jamaican prices, that will fill you up so that you truly don't need more until a light snack late in the afternoon, or a lite dinner...check out the cookshop at the craft market next to the Aerodrome. I don't even think it has a name...but the portions are huge and prices are less than $5. One meal can feed two.
On the other hand, you have no "pretty ambiance", and those who don't like yams, boiled bananas and dumplings with their fish and chicken can skip this one.

Thank you for the suggestion. Selina mentioned that someone came and took the banner down, also wasn't there a boardite banner or something???She said it was down as well.
