The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of
So I was supposed to see Chris today and I didn’t see him before I left or after I got back. Tia eats and we head back out so that I can get something to eat. I get some fried chicken and she orders another chicken dinner. It was so good. We stop by the grocery store and stock up. We walk around to the stores looking for reggae mix CDs for Tia. The lady in Digicell told us to try up by the watchtower. On the way into the hotel two fine, dark, dark men stop us. This guy’s name is Ian and I don’t think I’ve seen someone so dark outside of my dreams. He’s talking to me and I’m being such as smart a. I don’t respond well to game, so I’m calling him on his stuff. We are joking with each other, but then it takes a turn and its getting childish. Hmmm. I’m not feeling you anymore even if you are fine. The boys are asking for our number and such. Tia tells them to walk over to the curb so we can have a little talk and then we will come back and get them. We decide that we don’t want them to really come up to the room and hang out, but they can carry our bags upstairs and we will talk and feel them out. We tell them this and they say OK. As we are walking them inside the gate the security guard stops us and tells them that we have to sign them in. Ok-why?. Both of the nights that Marlon was here we never had to sign anyone in. We tell the boys that we aren’t signing them in, but thanks for carrying the bags. Tia goes and gets a card from the front desk and gives it to her admirer, T. We drag the bags up the stairs and sit down to eat dinner. Tia’s friend calls her later. She told him that she’d like to hang out, but he needed to find another friend. Ian gets on the phone and asks her what’s wrong. She tells him that he was being mean to me. After she gets off the phone we talk about going to Margaritaville. Didn’t happen-we went to sleep instead.

Can We Get Some CDs (Thursday)
We decide to get our walk on today and go visit up past the watch tower. Tia is looking for the reggae mix CDs. I find one guy, but he doesn’t have his CD player hooked up. Tia wants to hear the mixes before she buys them. We go into another store and spend about 15 minutes listening to CDs. The man inside the store quotes one price. His wife later comes in and quotes a price almost 2 times what he quoted. We can’t get her to back down, so off we go. By the third store I’m getting tired. I understand that she wants to listen to the CDs but it’s still annoying me since I’m not really shopping. Tia spots an electronic store and goes inside. She asks if they sell CDs while I’m throwing myself though the front door. When I hear them say no and a cute guy starts trying to talk to her I turn around to leave. I hear a male calling me to stop, but I keep going and walk around the corner. Tia comes around the corner and said the guy inside the store flipped up on her. I say, huh. She said that he was trying to talk to her, but when he spotted me he said that I want to talk to your friend. Hmmmm, he was cute.

Tia spots a store that is across the street from Amnesia. Being in the car all day yesterday, I didn’t have enough sun time. I told her that I would wait outside while she went and looked in the store. After what felt like 15 minutes I decided to go to Jucci Pattie because I was dying out there. I walked back to the patty place and they were out of lobster patties, but had shrimp. I ordered shrimp and chicken patties and callaloo loaf for the both of us. I walk back up to the record store parking lot and I don’t see Tia. I know that she knows not to leave the area. I hear someone hollering Sugar and I see Tia across the street in a supermarket. I meet her over there and give her a pattie and a callaloo loaf. She said that she went back to the electronics store thinking I was there and that the guy was waiting for me. We walk over to the electronic store and I get another look at the man. He is very tall, probably around 6’3 and thin, thin. Tia tells me that he has a thing for big gurls. Ohh goodness.

He has a customer. While we are waiting another man comes up and is trying to get my number. I guess when he doesn’t get it from me he moves on to Tia. Finally the guy comes over and tells me his name is Tony. I ask him if he has a thing for big girls and he says yes. I said that it figures since he is so slim. (He must like a challenge. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] ) He asked me why I ran away from him. I told him that I though you were trying to talk to my friend and I was tired. He gave me his number and I told him that I would call him tonight., maybe we could be friends. He made a comment about being friends with someone, but then they leave and you never hear from them again. Ouch-someone’s been burned. We head back to the Hi-Lo and pick up some spices. After we are finished, we head back to the hotel.

Stay With Me
We get back to the hotel and veg out. I call Tony later and we decide to meet at the Burger King between 9:00 and 9:30. I also call and confirm the massage tomorrow with Chef. Me and Tia decided to take a dip in the pool. When we get out there it says closed. I read the sign and it says that it is closed after 6:00 but that you can get in at your own risk. I tell Tia what the sign says and I ask one of the people that are sitting around the pool. He tells me that it has solution in it to clean it and that it won’t be ready until 7:00. Great-glad I didn’t just jump right in.

We go back to the room and decided that we aren’t trying to get back into the water until 7:30 to be safe. The phone rings and Tia answers it. It’s the front desk saying that we have visitors. It’s her friend and Ian. What are they doing here? We change back into our normal clothes and she goes and gets them. Tia and her friend go out to the balcony and me and Ian sit in the living room. He asks me why I said he was being mean. I said because he was being mean. He was holding my hand and when I asked him to let go he didn’t. I told him that you don’t play with a woman like that. He apologized and we just got comfortable. He started in with those comments that I had been hearing all week. You have nice hair, can I touch your hair. I hate “nice hair” comments. I told him that I would prefer to have his hair and how I thought that he had the prettiest skin that I had ever seen. He’s stroking my hair and asks me do I have a man. He tells me that a woman should not be alone. Yeah-I’ve heard that a number of times this week. He asked to see my stomach. I said-why? He was like show it to me. I told him that I don’t like my stomach. He told me that I should not be ashamed of my body. God gave it to me. He told me not to hide myself and he lifted up my shirt and massaged my stomach. Tia came into the room and I said Tia this is my belly and I shouldn’t be ashamed of it. I burst out laughing.

We cuddled for a while on the couch. I looked at the display menu on the TV and saw that it was 7:00. I told him that I had to leave at 8:45 to meet up with a guy that I had met earlier in the day. He whispered in my ear that I should stay with him. I told him that I was enjoying being with him, but I made a promise to someone and I don’t break promises. For the next hour and a half he tried to convince me to stay with him. The brother was working hard, but I was determined to leave at 8:45. At 8:40 I went onto the balcony to talk to Tia. I told her that I needed another 15 minutes and then I would be leaving to meet up with Tony. Ian’s kissing me on my neck telling me to stay with him and I told him that-no its 9:00 and maybe I would see him later. He asked if I would go to Amnesia with him. I told him that I would tell him after I met my friend tonight. He was not happy, but he took it like a man.

I Would Hurt Him

I leave Ian at the apartment at 8:50 and I walk up the street to Burger King. I didn’t mind walking around Ochi at night, but I don’t like all the male attention so late in the evening. I get to the Burger King and I don’t see Tony. I can hear people talking about me in patois. Who is she waiting for? It seems like Burger King must be some kind of hook up spot because whole groups of friends are coming in and people are crusing by looking at who it outside. I stand out there for what seems like 20 minutes. (I didn’t bring a watch to JA) I decide to pack it in and head back to the hotel. As I am passing Island shopping center, I look up and I see Ian and his friend walking toward me. He asks me will I see him tonight at Amnesia and I tell him yes. We are both smiling and they say see you tonight. I walk a couple of steps and hear someone calling Sugar. It’s Tony. I ask him what is he doing here. He told me that he saw me coming down the street and was calling my name. Oh-he was calling out to me while I was seeing Ian walking toward me. We go over to a bench to sit and talk. I think that Tony was the sweetest person that I met on the trip. Tony’s looking for a girlfriend. I told him how I felt about LDRs. He also has 4 boys. I told him that I’m not trying to get into a relationship with someone with so many children, but that I though he was really sweet. We talked for about 15 minutes and I said I better go because its getting late and I’m walking by myself. He walks me down to the Sea Castles shopping complex, gives me a big hug and turns around. I know that I can’t have a relationship with Tony because I would hurt him. He told me that he has gotten into relationships with tourists before and they make promises that they don’t keep. He asked if he was in the States would I consider dating him. Hmmmm-I still don’t know about dating someone with 4 children.

Tia came into the room and I said Tia this is my belly and I shouldn't be ashamed of it. I burst out laughing.

Since I have no trip report-I thought I 'd mash up my own thread

-How he do things and prophecy things, he is not just by himself-he have higher powers even from when he is a little boy. The way I felt, the kind of vibes I get when Bob come around...It's too honorable. I always look upon him with greater respect: There is something inside telling me that he is not only a son-there is something greater in this man. Bob is of a small stature, but when I hear him talk, he talks big. When it come to the feelings and reactions I get from Bob, it always too spiritual to even mention or talk about. Even from when he was a small child coming up.

-Reggae kinda come from a Spanish, Latin word, and it mean “King Music”. No dance look pretty as reggae dance! You can dance the whole night and it keep you in a mood. You love yourself when you dance reggae music. You proud of yourself, you come like you born again. A feeling come in the music like you baptized…Music is great. Music can carry you to places where you don’t know. Carry you to Zion.

-I live a long time before me see any money, but my work here is not to become a “star” or anything like that, and my life not go toward material vanity. I find myself doing this music t’ing and me have to do it. Really I am just a man of the heart.
