The food was sooooo good! I have to say when I ask for my very favorite breakfast I didn't think it was possible for anyone prepare it better than my Jamaican friend Angie...sorry Angie...

The Girls Making Breakfast


A group of us rented a boat and went out to Monkey Island for the day. We swam, snorkeled and partyed, and found lots of shells it was a very relaxing day. There are many captains at the Blue Lagoon that will take you out for about $15 per person either boat, or raft.

Last but not least---the best for last! The Blue Lagoon, swimming rain or shine. I got up early one morning an went back to the spring and had a swim, so refreshing. What I really like about the Blue Lagoon, you will meet all types there, and everything is sooooooooooo mellow, not a soul will trouble you for anything.







Natalie and Curtis who run the dive shop at Blue Lagoon--and they are as sweet as they look!

Sammy--I get around pretty well because I used to have friends that showed me around and took me everywhere and they lived in Port Antonio. They have migrated to the US so I'm kinda on my own now. I haven't got the nerve to rent a car yet, but next trip I'm going to, the Peace Crop volunteer in TB said we will sort it out together. I mean why am I so nervous I drive in Los Angeles, Downtown San Francisco, etc, how hard could JA be? I do have a list of drivers who I use and am able to get my transportation cost down to a minimum but even then it's probably one of the most expensive items I pay for on my trip, but traveling solo having a driver is probably cheaper than renting a car for me because I have to pay all the cost alone.

Askme: I did forget about you I will send the numbers we talked about to your email now. Sorry sister!

I did speak to Greg the owner of Moonsan about adding photos to his website, it would increase his business, I know he is considering it. One evening I looked at some of his photos online with him and he is a wonderful photographer, not sure why he doesn't have any on his site.

Moonsan does not have A/C...I didn't need it, they have good fans in all the rooms and it's right on the water. However, I have been in Portie in the middle of summer and I'm not too sure I would like not having a/c...actually I would want a/c in the summer anywhere on the island but that's just my personal preference.

SweeetLips - Port Antonio is one of the places I am going to go during my Christmas holiday in JA. I'm planning on doing Negril, TB, Port Antonio and then back to Negril for New Year's Eve.

MoonSan Villa's look wonderful. The food (you know I look at the food) looks plentiful and fresh! I could just jump in that picture and eat those ackees right now. I am craving them.

Your trip reports are wonderful - full of great suggestions on places to stay and eat. I love them.

Seveen you would love the food there. I could not believe the amount they give you. And the breakfast is included in the price of the room, and they make each guest what ever they want. Dinner is provided by request, you have to request it first thing after breakfast. I wish I would have take pictures of my dinners...holy smoke they would give you so much food you could not possibly eat it all, and I am a big eater!

Some for the dinners I had were:
Pork Chops that would melt in your mouth and lobster with garlic butter. And all the sides, green salad, the most unbeleiveable hot potato salad, fried plantain, rice and peas, Keylime pie, chocolate cake, etc....what ever you want they will make it! This would be food paradise for you. If you do stay there when you make your reservation you need to ask for the Akee, and they will go to the market/or wherever and find the fresh ones but depending on the season they may need a few days to do this. Akee are not on the usual menu but they will get anything you want.

Sweeetlips! This trip was extensive! How long were you in Jamaica?
Port Antonio..I have heard is the most beautiful area on the island and your pics have proven it so.
