Watering the plants - Now you girls quit makin me laff today - my allergies have kicked in and my eyes are so swollen I look as if I participated in the Contender last night and LOST! I could not get my contacts in and have nuh glasses so I have my computer screen pulled to the edge of my desk and my nose pressed against the glass so I can see [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img] ... it aint pretty -

[img]/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]ray: for high waters the day I try to raft down this river ... with my fatt a$$ we will get lodged on a sand bar and stay stuck!!

Looks so lovely!! Gosh - 99 a night for Fern Hill is certainly do-able!! I expected it to be alot more. I will not be able to swing it on my next round - but one day - the views are spectacular!!

Just wanted to share a little something with you guys.

Since I added this picture to my desktop at work I have had soooo many people stop by and ask where that was taken?

When they hear it is Jamaica they all look surprised. These are the same people that think I'm crazy for visiting there because they think I will get killed and who can't understand why I would go down there except to visit my family.

I told them that you will not see scenes like this behind the gates of a RIU or Sandals, which is the only place they would stay should any become so brave as to step foot in Jamaica. It really has them talking now though.

((((((Loopster))))) Sorry I it has taken me so long to get here, but wow, was it ever worth the wait! Just beautiful photos! I love them.....what was that one that looks a little like a fuschia variety? I think that raft ride looks wonderful. I would love to do that. Keep going, more photos, and I know you have way more flora pictures.....let's go girl! (getting me very excited for my trip....finally booked 4/24 - 5/3)

loops rafting look like fun. I might check this out next summer, but doing Bath and getting slapped/healed sounds like it might be more fun [img]/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] ...........great pic's (((loops))) thanks for letting me come along for the ride.

We haven't rafted the Rio Grande either! The first Portland trip was only 3 nights, teh second only for a day...obviously we need like 2 weeks on that side to do everything we want to do....

WHen you're rafting do you feel like you're in the mountains? I realize the river is in a valley, but it looks like you got some nice views to your sides?

nah...didn't feel so much like i was in the mountains...but the sorrounding hills were nice to view along the way. Felt more like a slice of rural country life. In places, it would be sheer up on one side...but Linford would point out little paths he and others trek to navigate their way along the banks. Just a nice, slow meandering drift down a clean, clear river...oh how I'd like to be doing that right now...instead of waiting on the 1-2 feet of snow we're expecting through the weekend.
