AngieB, Grandma2....It’s nice to hear such sentiments.
I am going to rework the report over Christmas and New Years. I have more photos and a few more interesting things that happened.

This will be the first Christmas without my Mother and cozen both died this year, leaving me with no one in Phoenix.
I want to make this report as good as the time I had. I reread it over the weekend and I’m not that happy with my words.
Thanks all for your comments and encouragements.
These LDR’s are so tough over the holidays.

Geo - I did not realize your mother had died so recently! It has been 13 years already since my Sweet Mamma died - and I always still miss her.

I just got back. A little snow on the ground to greet me back home. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Nice to meet all of you, it was a blast and will be booking my next holiday soon again. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

I rented one of those Island Cruisers and triped around for a few days towards the end of my stay. Big mistake in many ways but it was an adventure none the less. I'm sure the front end needs to be replaced on that sucker as I hit every pot hole I came upon, but that's par for the course I guess.

Next time it will be Port Antonio for a week mi thinks. Negril is wonderful but it's time to change things up.

Well back to the dreaded job tomorrow and four months of cold winter weather ahead. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Hmmmm. Thought about it Laurel but I can't really include anything that you guys could really relate to. I met some nice people (also from Toronto) and hung with them for a while. I hope to stay in contact with them now that I'm back.

Did your son enjoy the holiday, he looked very "at home" on the beach! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img] It was nice meeting both of you.

I wish we could do that night again. I just loved all the people that kept coming up to say hello, most of them knew MissS but there were a few that were my friends.
I also wish I could have taken of on that trip with you, it sounded like a good Idea.
Theirs always next year, and the next.

Yeah Geo that is why YOU should be going home for the holidays. My brother, father, aunts, uncles and most of the folks I remember enjoying Christmas with have passed.

Several years ago I woke up on Christmas Day with just my son and me. He had loads of presents and I had another day. That Christmas I decided to continue my tradition of going to JA at Christmas. You see I used to go all the time and then when my son was born I thought it best to stay home and do the tree and gift thing. But I realized for me the best present was to be at home. So this is my son's 4th Christmas (he's only 8) in JA. He thinks that is what you are supposed to do at Christmas. This morning I had the unhappy duty of telling him we would not be there for Three - Two - One - Happy New Year.

Hello everyone we are back now too and what a trip it was....OYYY! Geo WOW...you have some amazing pictures and we both loved your report. I died laughing when I saw my hubby's gumpy ole face in one of the pictures! LOL!

He had good reason too.....he got so sick the last week and would NOT go to the clinic and now has full blown double pnemonia. Went to ER as soon as we got home and nursing him back to health as we speak! We are both about to be fired as we haven't been to work since Thanksgiving! YIKES! Nice long sick 2 wk vacation this time in NEGRIL! And, boy do we have stories from our move to the cliffs!

Geo it was so wonderful meeting you and your family and I really wish we could have stayed a bit longer to party with everyone at the Jerk Fest! Hopefully, some time we all meet up again for a rip roaring time! You da party man and we could use some of that after this last trip! Oh my!

You can certainly see how much you love JA and all the dear friends you have made in your many travels!
