Lucija, Make sure you let Vernon know of Lisa's unprofessional manner. Many of us already have. Trus me the staff that knows her feels the same about her as we do. Obviously her people skills are no better in person than they are via email.

This is crazy! I stay at Fun Holiday several times a year! Lisa has always been nice and Carlene very professional...The entire staff at Fun Holiday is eager to make the guests comfortable.. Where else do you get a room on the beach, watersports available, exceptional pool, nice bar, great drink specials, and many other amenities for $50 a night... Maybe you should travel more! As for the construction, isn't it obvious they are working hard to be ready for the season! For the decor, how much time do you really stay in your room during vacation??? I feel they have done a very good job, and am pleased they are able to keep the prices low.... If anyone has any questions about Fun Holiday please feel free to email me.
I will be happy to give you a very honest answer to any of your questions and let you form your own opinion. Reviews such as the ones I just read actually disgust me... Fun Holiday is my favorite place on the beach and I go there several times a year!

You will enjoy the stay at Fun Holiday.. Make sure you address any concerns and they will be right there to make you comfortable.. Please don't worry... Fun Holiday is a great place!

taking adavantage of the water sports I think would make the stay there a huge plus...look at the deals or make one up with Shabba, drinks and dinners plus jet ski or fishing trips cook the catch kind of stuff.

What I usually do if I stay in a mid-level to budget property is bring my own bedding.

I try and do this everywhere I go. Hotel bedding is just nasty, especially the covers.

Deb (DCox) were you there in Sept. just before Ivan? We met a great lady guest there at the beach bar, and were told that FH was the only place she would stay (think she had grandkids in tow)! Unfortunately it was our umpteenth Red Stripe stop of the day and I have a hard time recalling all the peoples names I met while there! Just curious.

No that was a good friend of mine from Cali. Actually they survived Ivan in their room at FH. She is in Jamaica now (without the grandkids) at FH. She is leaving today though. She was reminiscing last week about that trip when we were sitting at the bar. She always cry when she leave Jamaica but she say that trip she was begging to get home... lololol

The above cases are filled with bedding and towels ..... and I always end up just using The Birds linens ..... LOL [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I always start out thinking about 'who's head was just using this pillow and what critters did they leave behind'??? and then I just quit thinking about it -

you know, i read somewhere recently that hotel bedspreads are the NASTIEST items in a room! at least the sheets and towels are washed regularly, but bedspreads generally are not. just think about it: people sit on bedspreads with their bare booties, change diapers on them, etc. etc., i could go on forever!

i pull that sucker off right away!

Yes, that is a great price - assuming everything listed actually works properly! That is not just a Fun Holiday issue, I've been to plenty of places that don't meet up to what is advertised.

Once I requested a fridge in room and yes, it was there but it didn't work - at all! not even the usual faint gasp of almost cool when the door is opened! So why would I pay $5/day for that? Another place advertised TV, and sure there was a TV in the room, but no channels cuz cable not working or not even hooked up in the first place. I mean, I could not care less about TV - but don't advertise it if it is not working properly. A few places I've been advertised a pool, and when you get there - pool finish! not working.

I am extremely low maintenance by most standards, but I still expect to get what I pay for. Managers just need to tell it like it is and not try to get over.

I am right with you!!! Never sleep with a hotel comforter ... LOL.

Over the holiday week when I was not at work I saw Oprah's show about OLD OLD bedding, pillows, kitchen sponges, etc .... NASTY!!! I went directly to Target and bought new pillows for my bed and pillows and comforter for my son's bed. I work in the Domestics Division for Target - our pillow and mattress covers/pillow covers spiked last week!! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] Lots of others must have seen that show as well.

I have seen other news shows that 'black light' hotel rooms for cleanliness ..... UGH!!
