Sat. Oct. 2

Slept in late until about 8:30am. Fixed breakfast in my condo. Laid on the beach for a while. Showered and changed clothes to meet a couple from Meet the People Program through the Jamaica Tourist Board. They are a very nice couple.

Michelle left today. She got very teary eyed Patrick came to pick her up. I miss her but I will be ok.

Ordered some food from JahB’s to be delivered. Melinda and I ate lunch. She is a very nice young lady. She is wise beyond her years. She reminds me of Napi, Lil Sis and Ms. Hip. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I went to Hi-Lo for some groceries. Again chilled out on the beach and my balcony (with my rum cream) [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] for the rest of the day and evening.


Sun. Oct.3 - My Birthday (A National Holiday)

A friend woke me up to say Happy Birthday. Showered, ate and laid on the beach. (My favorite thing to do.)
I got some flowers and a bracelet from my friends. They ordered some lunch. It rained part of the day.





Went to 3Dives to meet with fellow boardies from Ja.com and Negril.com. I met CBB (Negril.com). Scuba Steve and Scuba Sandy (Ja.com), IrieSis & Mr. IrieSis (Ja.com) and Mr. Twister & Mrs. Twister (Negril.com). We had a great time.

Early evening in around 10pm. I had a wonderful birthday in Negril.

Really chilled out and vegetated these days. Nothing special to write about.

Thurs. Oct. 7

Vegetated on the beach early this morning. As my days at home are drawing to a close.
Went Hi-Lo and Digicel. I got into an argument with a young punk in Digicel. The young lady was helping me with my phone. The boy knocked on the desk and said “Girl, I need help”. The young lady told him as soon as she gets through with helping me she would help me. Again, the boy knocked on the desk and repeated the same damn thing. Again, the young lady said one moment please. By this time I was getting angry because he was being so rude and ignorant. :verymad: I stopped the young lady and told her to wait on him because I am not in a hurry. He turned and looked at me with this cocky look and stated “You scarred of me”. I looked at him and made the following statement “Hell naw, I ain’t scarred of you. You are a rude individual”. He turned away and didn’t look at me again.
I kept staring at him hoping he would look at me but he wouldn’t. Punk. I am not going to be intimidated by some punk with his pants hanging off of his butt.

Went to Times Square & mini-mart to finish some souvenir shopping. Ordered some food from Juicy J’s to be delivered. Another great evening in Negril.

Ros, when I grow up I want to do Jamaica just like you (relax, eat, have stuff delivered and sleep). How do you get everyone to deliver food to you.

Friday, Oct. 8 Last full day at home [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I was feeling down and out cause this was my last full day in Negril.
Eat breakfast. Stayed on the beach ALL day. Finished packing

Spent time with a friend!!!! :love:


Sat. Oct. 9 Time to return to Chicago (Saddest day of my trip)

This is the day that I always HATE!!! Sitting on the beach for the last time for a while. Saying see ya later (not goodbye) to old and new friends.

Stopped at Superplus on the way to Mobay for some spices that I couldn’t find in Negril.

Arrived at the airport safely thanks to Patrick of Esperanza Tours. Everything went smooth. Air Jamaica was schedule to leave on time to Chicago. (Don’t tell me God does not make miracles happen). I have never been on a flight on Air Jamaica to Chicago that was on time.

Well that’s all folks!!!

You must send me the names and phone numbers for the ones that you know deliver. This will come in most handy.

Now leaving Jamaica is really difficult, but it had to rain on your way to the airport, well I just could not take that. I always feel so alone, utterly alone sitting in that airport waiting for your flight to be called.

I HATE THAT FEELING! It is too sad when you have to leave all that fun & sun there, and come back to a tiny N.Y. apartment that feels so empty and cold.
