Sparkling Waters Villas-Billy's Bay Southcoast

Hello Old Friends! I've been scarce around here between traveling this summer and getting back to work of late. Hope everyone is well.

I am thinking of spending some time at Sparkling Waters in Billy's Bay and am wondering if anyone is familiar with the property and cares to share any thought? It looks lovely. I've never spent any time in the south and am looking to spend a few days before visiting friend inland in the country in St. Ann.

Any input is much appreciated.

I can tell you it was rebuilt after Hurricane Ivan (since we booked it for last October and had to move as it was destroyed....)

Thanks Ohliz. Any info you, or anyone, can share on the area is much appreciated. We're looking to spend a few days early relaxing in the area and exploring some of the local scenery without spending too much time in the car. (thanks for answering my question on both boards btw!) ((BND)) Yes, St. Ann ..sigh.. Way inland around Borobridge..I've said it before, but each visit when I spend time in those hills, I could stay longer and longer. It's weird, but I don't even miss the beach! ..I miss my family and friends and the kiddies..

Borobridge is far far in and up in the hills. Almost in Manchester pass Aenon Town but before Devon...up there is cool at nights, so cool it`s chilly.

Yes, Q, past Aenon Town and quite near Christiana. Where I go, the sun can be hot, but at times it's even chilly during the day..when the fog passes through. At other times, you can see three parishes from the hill.

Back on topic.. What to do on a lazy day around Billy's Bay and surrounding areas? Any must sees or funky places to check out?

Nice to see you here, It will be nice to be at Pipers Cove with Latoya and Dasy Chin in 17 days. I hope you remember your recombination is one I have used to get out of the main stream and into a special place.

After we spend some time there WE will go down through Browns Town to Christiana, Mandevilla than down to Santa Cruse.
I am looking forwards to a special stay and special trip.

Treasure Beach is filled with a lot of good places, one of the best Is Mar Blue please use my recommendation to stay with the wonderful people there for a few nights the food is to died for; u will love it!!.

lol, I wondered if that was you on tripadvisor....

TONS to do in that area, SW did come with bicycles which we were looking forward to using a lot as TB has so little auto traffic.

There's a newish beach party/restaurant/bar in Fort Charles, goes off on different nights.

Mar Blue is a great dinner stop if you can eat a meal there without staying. A drink at Jake's....nothing special but i enjoyed checking the place out after hearing so much.

Hi Geo, I'm so jealous of your trip! I'll be working. Ms. Daisy and Latoya will take good care of you and feed you well! You know, I actually heavily researched staying at Mar Blue. The problem was that we will be a group of 3 traveling and we would have been required to rent 2 units at Mar Blue, which became more costly than our budget would allow. Another time though.. How are the roads from Christiana through Santa Cruz?

A girlfriend I'm traveling with mentioned Beach Rock Bar? (or a similar name) Don't know if it's the one you mention.

There are 3 still extant villas at Sparkling Waters (the two Liz had planned to rent were destroyed by Ivan) which is on a bluff overlooking the fishers' landing end of Billy's Bay == walk downhill thru a gate to fishers area.
They may have a one-week minimum. Other rentable villas/some with minimum stays of 1 week, some 3/4/5 nights include: The Buccaneer, Hikaru, La Sirena, Rainbow Point, Rainbow Tree and La Casa Duna at Black Spring Point. Mar Blue in Old Wharfe, about 10 min.walk from Calabash Bay and serving arguably the best food on the entire coast, has a 3 night minimum and a very good choice. See www.treasurebeach.net -- the Where to Stay section -- for the full spectrum.There's LOTS to do should you have the inclination including boat trips to Pelican Bar/Black River, Sunny Isle/Little Ochie in Alligator Pond and more. But the sense of non-tourism here, esp. on Billy's Bay, Fort Charles and Great Bay areas is wonderful.

Beach Rock Bar is about a 5-10 min.walk up the countrylane from Billy's Bay/they'll also send a driver. Occasional live music, often real quiet. Fisherman's Bar is the other venue for 'limited nightlife' in the area. Fort Charles villas near a very good beach at Fort Charles largely unknown include Villa Arcadia, Unforgettable, Dream-A-Way and a sweet new little cottage called Pon de Rock.
