okay and for the final one that broke the camera...i was taking a picture of the men playing on the kayaks and i thought if i step just a little bit into the ocean i can get a better shot and BOOM a wave crashes up and splashes water onto the camera. Poor camera is broken, but we still have awesome pictures once i can get ahold of everyone elses memory cards.
I dont know how my memory card survived seeing how it was in the kayak with me the day we flipped it [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img] but THAT is a story within itself...still have the bruises from it.
So for the picture that broke my camera.....

okay all for tonight...my bed calls so that i can make it through another 12 hours of work tommorow.
Theyve pulled a dreaded nurses meeting on me on my 2nd day back .....how dare they, dont they realize that I am still recovering from vacation?
I dont want to hear the whining and complaing?
I threatened to bring a CD player with my reggae
music and sit in a corner and pretend i was still in Jamaica while they were having their meeting....I just dont think it would work.
Good thing is after tommorow my work week is over and i am off for 4 days.
Hopefully I will have some more pics tommorow

port antonio port maria area is just THE most beautiful....can't wait to see the rest of the groups photos and hear more about your trip...not many trip reports and photos from that part of the island so this will be a real treat

yes marilyn we spent a ton of time around the pool...it was bliss.

okay...finally got the friends pictures and they are downlaoding as i am typing.
I made it through the dreaded nurses meeting this morning and I swear at one point I closed my eyes and leaned my head against the wall and pretended I was in jamaica. After the meeting my manager said your vacation must have made you tired...you almost fell asleep. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img] I told her i was trying to find my inner peace.
Anyway I made it through ....so on to a short trip report and a few more photos before bed....
When I started planning the trip this year my mom said that she wanted to go. I am really close with my mom and I knew if I could just get her on that plane she would love it. So of course once my parents were in my sister and her husband and 3 kids were along for the ride. My husband invited a friend, I invited a friend, she brought her daughter, my sister invites her nephew...whew the list just grew and grew and we end up with 14 people. so the search was on for the perfect spot.
we searched and searched. most places were not big enough...had to have a pool, had to be on the beach, and had to have at least 2 houses.
Then i came across Blue Harbour. It was the original property owned by noel Coward before he built Firefly. I immediatley knew that that was it. 3 houses, pool, beach....everything we wanted. we booked it and started counting down.

So the day comes to go ...everyone meets at my house and in a caravan we drive the 2 1/2 hours to atlanta. We arrive 2 hours before we can even check in for the plane. i swear it is like 2am. the whole airport is dead. The kids are wired. We wait and wait and finally check in and go and wait some more. Land in Miami, Only to wait some more. Slept some in the Miami terminal, at this pont i didnt care , I had been awake for 36 straight hours

finally board dour plane to jamaica and land a short while later.
We were somewhat hassled in customs...when they asked for my daughter sscard my heart dropped because i knew i didnt have it but i put a smile on my face and pretended to look for it. Then by the grace of god she said she didnt need it and waved us through. Gathered all 14 of us into one spot and made it outside...Finally feeling the Jamaican Sun!!!! Our driver was waiting for with a big smile. We split up into 2 vehcles and we were on our way.

so as you can see we were enthralled by the pool.
the pool is a saltwater pool and they drain it weekly, scrub it out and fill it back up. it became grimy while we were there and they were kind enough to drain it during the middle of the week so we would have a clean pool.
