i also love this one of the lickle shop surrounded by the greenery so evocative of hills in jamaica. i'm a plains girl, where it is dry and hot, and we don't have the lushness that you find in the higher zones.

But I learned one real valuable lesson about trying to shoot your mountains....there is almost no way you can capture them really. I guess I need a wide angle lens or something. They are something to behold in Jamaica.

Hurricane not withstanding, we did as good a job as we could do under the circumstances. Thank God we had reasonable women to deal with who realized Angie and I couldn't control what happened.

The one thing I am proud of is that we came through the crisis knowing that we can in fact handle a crisis.

marilyn, i've noticed the same thing. i was at a friend's yard in the countryside and the view behind the house was absolutely breath-taking. rolling terrain and lush vegetation. i took a picture of it and to my disappointment you couldn't see the depth that the scene really deserved. like you said, some things can only be fully appreciated if you see them with your own eyes in jamaica

the girlfriend trip looks like so much fun. i'm enjoing every word of it.

TELL ME ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!

Now here is one thing I did do this trip, as I have now learned to use the little video function on my camera. All of those 360 views that you can't get in one snapshot. I have learned to turn the video function on and move it slowly in a circle so I can almost capture what my eye is seeing.

Hey Tippi, we have to learn how to do this video thing so you can send people that hilarious video you took of our van ride through Ochii which docments what we tell people about those crazy diriving habits. Throughout the whole thing I was yelling Tippi are you still rolling???? And she would say from the back seat... I got it I got it. That HAS to be a prize winner.
