Lindy offered us an honest-to-goodness yard style dinner for our last nite...how could we pass that up??!! We dropped our bags at Gloriana and headed off to Lilliput....

Lindy put out a dinner that could have fed an army!! The plate she put in front of me was enough to keep me full for 2 days....sorry, I was so busy eating that I forgot to get any pics....fish steak, pumpkin, yam, corn, dumplin, potato....I ate for about half an hour and still didn't finish my dinner! With our bellies full, we returned to the Gloriana and quickly fell asleep...

Hotel Gloriana is a locally owned success story...if you get a chance, stop by and purchase a copy of MissG's autobiography .....we did, and MissG was more than happy to autograph it for us....

it's a perfect place to stay for a late arrival or early departure....there's a bar, restaurant, pool, clean&quiet rooms, and a little market just outside the lobby...but more importantly, MissG has provided job opportunities for many , many people..desk staff, housekeepers, laborers, waitresses, etc, etc...Hotel Gloriana gets the DiamondDave Seal of Approval ( whatever that's worth [img]/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img])... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70409-waytogo.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70409-waytogo.gif[/img]

But, all too soon, we were back at the airport [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Some advice for future trip-reporters...it's much mo' easy to write your story if you have a return ticket in hand....we got a great deal on airfare and will be returning early February 2007!!!!!!

The trip report wouldn't be complete without the backstory of the title.....

We were chatting with Miss Sonia while in Negril...for those of you that don't know, Miss Sonia spends a portion of her income to provide assistance to various family, friends and neighbors, with a special emphasis on the elderly....when I remarked that her help must be greatly appreciated, she told me in no uncertain terms that....

"It's not Help...It's Hope...."
