The top one is me in a hammock at Pelican Bar...Angie was in the bar with the camera pointed down at me....the rest look like the Fire Water in St Ann....

You are correct Dave. The picture is of the fire water in St Ann. When I began going there three years ago, no one really knew about this place very much. You could go there, get a massage, relax in the warm water and enjoy your time. Now, it is known by so many people that you have to wait your turn. Still, the massage and theraputic value of the water is worth the wait. The spring is fed into this basin and the water is cool. They light the water and heat the towels that they use to loosen your muscles and joints during massage.

The other picture is of me standing above Dave. Dave, I think the picture turned out very cool. Let me know if you want a copy.

Napi: I love that picture and plan to have it printed and placed in my office.

I am told that the water is full of sulfur. You can smell what I think is sulfur in the water, and it makes perfect sense. You can walk through the water, light it on top of you and it does not burn. It is truly amazing. The gentleman remember me from back when they started this little place. What is wonderful also is that you can have lunch there as well. The gentleman before me order fish for lunch and while they were getting their massage and the water was on fire, they put this metal grate on top and placed the fish in aluminum foil and steamed it right there. After their massage, they ate lunch.

What I am most amazed about is that this group of people living in this small area, realized that they had something unique. They cultivated it and molded it to fit the consumer, all while leaving just enough elements about Jamaica to make it feel authentic. Not every tourist will enjoy this back to nature experience, but I take every one there. It is a must do on your first visist. After that, well.....it's up to you.

I didnt get a massage this trip because the hour was late and there were too many ladies waiting. I have stayed there at night and brought candles to light. The massage therapist will placed your candles around the pool on the rocks. They enjoy the night and the fire turns from a red yellow blaze during the day, to a brilliant blue and yellow at night.
