inexpensive places to stay in negril

looking for something jan 2- 21
want to spend about $300 or less for that time frame
beach or west end

didn't care for Jah B's


any suggestions
don't need ac
do need fans
would love kitchenette

was told Villa La Cage would take that amount
anyone stay there?

your budget is $300 for a 19 nite stay? that works out to just under $16 per nite....I don't know if you'll find anything at that rate...

some budget accomodations that come to mind, though: Errol's, Yellow Bird, the Yoga Center...

I'm also looking for a budget place to stay for early to mid January in Negril but $300 for almost three weeks is kind of low. Maybe take a tent and see if you can talk a property owner in pitching it in their yard for a nominal fee perhaps.

I have actually had places to stay in the past for this rate
last January I stayed in Whitehall,only about 10 minute to walk to Negril
second floor in a 2 story house and it cost me about $14.00 per night

I don't have any pictures from that stay but it was the second floor in a two family house,big veranda, nice view of the sea
one big room with a bathroom and a shared kitchen

hoping I can find something that good for that price again

Reminds me of when I was charged J$6 for a room with 2 beds for two of us friends.....but that was way back in `78.

You really got a good deal Jam Lover, better than most here and their US$30 and up quotes.

I've seen a couple of long term rentals in that range, on negril.com, someone asked recently (maybe you?) and got more than one or two leads.

A room in a house type stuff.

I do a lot of searching when I need to

right now I may have a deal working with someone on the west end
not an apt but the price is what I am looking to spend
don't want to reveal the name as I haven't made the deal yet
and not sure the owner wants me to let all know that he will
do rooms for this price
a room with a fridge
and rooms downstairs which have kitchens that I may be able to use

Westport Cottages next to Negril Yoga Centre... 10 US per person/night (20 US if you're single). I've seen it - definetly an option if your budget is very tight and you don't care about private bathrooms... can't ask for much for that little money.
