I have become accustomed to water outages and short power outages while vacationing in Jamaica. I’ve been fully soaped when the water has gone out, also learned to shower in trickles of water. I even stayed occupied during the power outages in hurricane season. But, this go round, the power outages was like playing musical chairs. With Sammy near by I always had DeLight. Her flashlight came in handy wayyyyy more than it should have [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img]

I laughed at myself one morning when the power went out. My brain automatically went to at home survival. The power started fading in and out. Okay when this happens at home, I turn everything off, I guess to conserve the power that is left and to not overload the system. Well I laughed when I did this in my room this trip. I said self, turning everything off works, but THE whole town has no power, turning your light and TV off is not going to revive the system.

Just when the videos on TV would get good, or in the middle of a movie, zirp…. power outage. No air No fan, going outside meant that I might get blown away.

I was lucky during Sister's recent visit - current finish for only a couple hours in Negril the night they had already left ... our lane came back on by 10:00pm - not the rest of the town tho ~

Saturday morning, I had plans to hang out with one of my girlfriends that used to work in Negril. She was having a not so great day and it was a true joy to see her smile glowing by the end of our day.

Our afternoon lunch at Tamboo. I read the menu and they have night entertainment now. It was just starting up the week we were there. There was an all-inclusive menu but I still couldn’t figure out what all it included. I’m assuming food and drink, but it didn’t specify.
